Had an amazing stay here in Bakewell, beautiful accommodation. So close to all the amenities and breathtaking views for morning yoga!

Maggie was amazingly polite and had superb communication throughout.

Incredibly spacious, with many more rooms than we required. Whole place was spotless, and surprised at how large the kitchen was and had plenty of pots/pans/utensils. Would certainly stay again!

We have just returned from a long weekend at Victoria Cottage. It proved to be the perfect place for our family get together for my husband's 60th birthday. There were 10 of us. Everything that we needed was there and more. I loved the artwork around the house and the mix of modern and a vintage 70's vibe. On arrival, we all immediately felt at home as it is so welcoming. The layout is very sociable but there are also areas for privacy should you need it. The location was perfect - just a short 5 -10 minute walk into the beautiful, historic market town of Bakewell. Our only regret was that we didn't get to use the garden as it was a wet weekend but that means that we'll just have to come back! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place for a large gathering of family and friends.

The house didn't disappoint it was just as good as I remembered it. This time I slept in the master bedroom and the bed was huge!

A relaxing weekend once again in this beautiful house.

Left the review below last year. Have just returned to Victoria Cottage again this year and everything mentioned below still stands. Plus we did another glorious walk from the cottage to Monsal Head which was great.

Had a lovely relaxing weekend here. So nice that it's close to the centre of town so there no need for a car. The house is very well equipped. Perfect size for a party of 8. Beds were so comfortable. Very good value. Lots of interesting paintings and books in the house too. Highly recommend for a weekend away with friends or a week holiday with two families.

Stayed for a long weekend at this lovely house. Lots of room, super well equipped and really comfortable - beds, sofas, the garden all great. Teenage kids very happy with local activities, canoeing, Alton Towers, cycling and checking out Bakewell. Highly recommended.

Victoria cottage has been the perfect location for our book group weekend, with plenty of room for all 9 of us - we have visited annually for around 7 years (with a covid break) The cottage is really stylish, clean and in a really convenient location. We went for a great walk and mooched around Bakewell shops. The kitchen is really well stocked for cooking for big parties... even a knife sharpener! I would highly recommend Victoria cottage!

8 of us stayed for a lovely long weekend. The cottage is just at the edge of the town centre, which makes it perfect for food shopping and for nosying around shops. We had a lovely day of walking and pub food too.
Catering in the cottage is easy and I particularly appreciated the presence of the knife sharpener, in case we needed it (which we didn't).
Very convivial and also particularly notable is the good quality laundered bedlinen.
Highly recommended!

beautiful home with the most amazing view from the raised garden, fully-equipped kitchen, very comfy beds and duvets as well as a huge living room area and TV. perfect for a family holiday or a holiday with friends. beautiful, cosy, clean and comfortable!

Stayed for 5 days and had a wonderful time! Beautiful garden with lots of space and great rooms. Kitchen was well equipped and the cottage is just a short walk into town. Also lots of nearby activities to keep busy, highly recommend.👍
