Always busy, but still get a warm welcome on arrival. Get offered drinks before seating which i personally like. The food here never dissapoints, the Steak is on another world and highly I recommend the Dumpling starter.. This restaurant is a great asset to the area, credit the management and staff..

Dropped in on a bit of a whim on a wet Monday evening - we were accommodated without issue and well looked after by the attentive wait staff.

Huge selection of alcoholic drinks but not such a wide selection of non-alcoholic beverages and, unfortunately, the hot drinks machine was broken at the time we visited. The lemonade and diet coke were verging on being flat.

The food, however, was excellent. We ignored starters to have room for dessert and I'm glad we did because the portion sizes for the mains were epic! Despite this, we (foolishly?!) ordered dessert and left feeling very full and very happy.

Slightly loud background music but not overly intrusive.

Amazing restaurant, fabulous food, service and atmosphere.

Visited with friends on Sunday evening 7th July to celebrate my birthday. Everything was absolutely perfect in every way possible.

We shared a 'Thor's Hammer' steak (110oz!), which was cooked to perfection!

Such a great restaurant, thank you Chef and Lucy for hosting us (and the fire pit shenanigans afterwards!).

Delicious. Great menu, great quality food, really good variety of both food and drink, and the service was brilliant. Every dish we saw coming out of the kitchen looked so good, there wasn't anything I wouldn't of eaten. The decor and atmosphere of Gatsby's is also very good. The owners have really done things right. The lavatories were also in really good condition too. They were clean and the door had a working lock, plenty of loo roll too with a nice handsoap. We absolutely will be going back again and i highly recommend anyone wanting to go to book a table to make sure you can definitely get in!!

Myself and my friend visited the restaurant on a Saturday night. The atmosphere was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We had starters of pulled pork bao style buns and a garlic baked Camembert, both were delicious and the portion sizes very good. For our mains we had braised beef and a mushroom tagliatelle , they were perfectly seasoned and tasted delightful. I'm looking forward to dining there again soon.

DISAPPOINTING! Met up with a couple of friends for lunch, we were a little early for our booking so decided to have a drink while we waited, poor selection due to being out of stock. We were the only ones eating in the restaurant but the food was only just warm when it arrived. Despite sitting at our table for over half an hour due to being early we still had to ask for cutlery. Sent two meals back friends decided to plod on! So we end up eating separately. Surely the proper thing to do would have been to just start again? Beer delivery arrived so decided to have a second drink only to be told that the pumps were closed for cleaning!!!! In service time? Although apologetic re service and food they was no gesture of any form of compensation offered. Result lost four local living customers....pity

beautiful bar and grill, and elegantly decorated! food and staff were incredible and very hospitable. id recommend the loaded fries from their German menu while it's available, which may only be for a short while longer.

I have never written a review but thought I really needed to on this occasion.

We have been here a few times and it was lovely. We have also been just for drinks- also lovely.

When we arrived, there were fruit flies around the table. I understand the door was open but these were the kind where it’s clearly not clean. They kept hovering around- very unpleasant.

I ordered stuffed chicken and my husband ordered Gatsby burger. The food arrived and it looked absolutely dreadful. The broccoli was over cooked, the carrots were rock hard, the potatoes were dry and all the veg had a funny smell to it. It was almost as if the vegetables were old. It was really the worst food I’ve ever been served. My husband’s chips were either cooked in really old oil or they were refried. They were not edible, I couldn’t even eat one. I ate my chicken which tasted nice and there wasn’t a problem with that. When we raised our issues with the waitress (I have never done this before), she was lovely and offered new food, free desserts which we declined. We did however, refuse to pay for the chicken but the staff were adamant we had to pay because I ate the chicken.

I think the restaurant need to focus on serving food than serving the drunk locals. We were very disappointed as we have been here about a year ago and it was lovely.

Due to this, we shall not be returning.
