This hotel is a solid choice for a short layover, especially if convenience is your priority. The location is fantastic, and the hotel makes your trip seamless with its easy shuttle service to the airport. The receptionists are always ready to help with any questions, and there’s even a dedicated concierge agent to assist you.

I’ve stayed here a few times for work, and while the rooms I’ve had weren’t very spacious and the building shows its age—especially with the carpets—it’s perfectly adequate for a one- or two-night transit stay.

The breakfast is simple but delicious and fulfilling. The staff do an excellent job presenting it in a way that feels inviting and appetizing. They also work hard to keep the place spotless and welcoming.

The gym is small and basic, but if you’re lucky enough to have it to yourself, it’s sufficient for a decent workout. One of the highlights for me is the variety of spaces, like the crew lounge and the Crowne Lounge, each offering a unique vibe. The main bar, on the other hand, is impressively spacious and adds a touch of sophistication to the property.

Overall, I appreciate the Crowne Plaza London Gatwick for its convenient location, friendly staff, and good dining options. It’s a practical and pleasant choice for short stays.

Great hotel with really helpful staff.
Rooms are a great size, well appointed. The one I had had a bath and a separate shower, so nice feature.

Breakfast had a good selection for everyone, and the restaurant was a good size.

Parking onsite and not to far from the entrance.

Stayed in Crowne Plaza Gatwick for three weeks as I was attending a training course not too far away from the hotel. Rooms were nice and were cleaned everyday if you wanted that. Had all the basics you could need for a regular stay like a desk, chair, TV, safe etc.
One minus which takes away a star from the room was the lack of closet space for clothes. A closet was provided in the room, but it was only really possible to hang jackets and sweatshirts in there. It had a small shelf at the top of the closet, but it was high up so not really any good to use for clothes. I had to use the drawers in the desk for my clothes to keep it out of my luggage.
Breakfast was OK, but not great. Eggs were powdered eggs and therefore lacked a lot of taste. Dinner was very tasty but a bit too expensive if you compare it to other restaurants nearby.

Had our flight cancelled so booked in to this hotel. Great choice. Lovely hotel and very clean throughout. Spotless bedrooms which were kept that way throughout our stay. Food is really good. Lovely cooked breakfast with plenty of choice. A special mention must go to Joseph. He worked tirelessly seemingly doing every job by himself, especially at breakfast. But always with a smile on his face. I would definitely recommend this hotel. We had a really enjoyable stay.

Tiny rooms: so small a large suite case cannot be opened except on the bed.
Very nice staff and breakfast.
Small gym, poorly maintained, no heating in January and February (14 degrees Celsius) bring something to warm up at the beginning of the workout.
Well suited for aviators going to the simulator facilities nearby.

'Devica' the receptionist was amazing, we had been sat on the motorway for 6 hours due to accidents and jams, we requested a room with a bath which was unavailable so were asked to wait in the bar area whilst she tried to accommodate us with a complementary drink. The restaurant had a corporate event on so we opted for a bar meal whilst we were there which was an extremely good move, 'Sofia' our table waitress was so attentive and polite she made it a very relaxing and enjoyable dinner which we were so in need of.

Then, because we had been regular guests previously 'Devica' had offered us an upgrade to a Club room.

This is why we always choose the Crowne Plaza when visiting the South, the staff are amazing and the hotel is exactly what you would expect a high class hotel to be. Thank you

We were here for a training day on a quiet Wednesday in the middle of January.
Our course was held in the Windsor room and there was a nearby breakout area for coffee breaks and toilets. We had lunch in the restaurant area, which consisted of a good selection of light, main and dessert options from a help yourself buffet. I had a bit of everything and they were all well cooked and had good flavours.
The Windsor room was well equipped for what we needed and the staff were welcoming upon arrival.
Only slight odd thing was the coffee machine when we got there was slow (the second one wasn't working) and didn't have normal coffee options, but for the break they provided coffee jugs which was quicker!

The staff were all soo lovely. Had two great nights sleep, fab fab shower. Room was huge and had everything we needed. Breakfast was great. Only drawback was offering of beer in the bar. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would 100% stay again.
