Stunning place to stay is the least we can say. The Gin Gan is the best B&B we have ever stayed in.||Ann is absolutely wonderful nothing is too much trouble, the breakfast is fantastic with plenty of choice. The living room is simply stunning, the circular shape with the beams plus stone walls & lovely decor & furniture it really is a wow factor. The bedroom was very big with a lovely large bed, plenty of room. Huge stunning bathroom was very nice and spotlessly clean it has everything you could wish for. The property is simply stunning & we hope to go back whenever we can. Beautiful garden, lovely rooms with high class decor throughout & a wonderful owner, what more can anyone wish for. We stayed here this weekend for a couple of days. On arrival we were greeted by the owner Ann who was the most hospitable lady you could ever wish to meet. Ann made us hot drinks with some very tasty homemade fruit cake which was gorgeous. ||The B&B was absolutely beautiful with so much attention to detail. Lots of lovely ornaments all around the property. The bedroom was stunning, with a huge bed and the bathroom had a large bath as well as a walk in shower. There was a communal living area which has to be seen to be believed. ||The breakfast was amazing and cooked to perfection. Ann caters for all your special dietary requirements as I am vegetarian she made me a lovely vegetarian breakfast. ||We had stayed in hexham as we were going to the races on the Saturday and Ann was so kind to give us a lift up to the racecourse. ||On the Friday we walked down into Newbrough to the red lion pub for a meal which was also outstanding. My partner had the steak & ale pie which he said was the nicest pie he'd ever had. If you stay here would definitely recommend visiting this pub. ||I would highly recommend staying here its a really nice place. Thanks Ann and hope to see you again soon, Karen & Eric x

I think The Gin Gan may well be our best ever B&B experience. An interesting property thoughtfully modernised and immaculately maintained. The rooms are light and airy, breakfast delicious and Covid protocols thorough but not OTT. What made our stay exceptional, however, was the warmth of the welcome and hospitality provided by Ann as host. This is an excellent location from which to explore Hadrian's Wall and other interesting places. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in the area save yourself time looking at other options as I'd be astonished if you found anything as truly pleasant as The Gin Gan.

Our stay at the Gin Gan was excellent. Ann was so welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The location is ideal for seeing Hexham and all the roman excavations/museums and Hadrians wall.||The property itself is immaculate and the room was comfortable, spacious and beautifully decorated, we stayed in the superior double.||Breakfast chioce was extensive and was served at a time of our choice. Again I cannot fault the food, it set us up each morning for a day of sightseeing.||||We would highly recommend staying here.

We stayed at the Gin Gan while walking Hadrian's Wall and had a fantastic experience. The house is full of character and immaculate, and our room was huge! It even had a big corner bath in the en suite, perfect for tired feet! Lovely breakfast. Ann was the perfect host - very friendly, interesting and accommodating. We loved it here.

The Gin Gan is an exceptional bed and breakfast. The house, the bedrooms, everything about it is comforting, relaxing and homely.||Ann is such a welcoming host and nothing was too much trouble for her. She made our stay in the area so special, be it her breakfasts or simply giving advice with her vast knowledge of the surrounding area and places of interest.||We won't hesitate staying there again when we next visit the area.

Located moments walk from the bus stop in four stones. The accommodation was excellent - well presented, spacious, comfortable and clean. Ticked every box. Breakfast was great. Lovely owner. Note: they don't do dinner but local pubs fill the void.

This fairytale building is only surpassed by the wonderfull personality of its owner.
I can only discribe it as a cosy warm bath.
A must place to stay in this area.
