Liked: I had the loveliest stay at Sunniside! The site is beautiful with stunning views and each van pitch has a cute garden with bench and table. I sat and read my book and watched the sunset. Perfect! The hosts were welcoming and friendly, including two gorgeous dogs. Loved it!

Liked: We were greeted by the very friendly and helpful owners, who informed us about everything we needed to know.
Easily accessible campsite, very quiet and peaceful, with lovely views of the surrounding countryside.
We were able to sit outside and enjoy the evening sunshine, watching the sun set.
Great site for the Great North Run. The metro is 25 minutes drive away and it avoids the inflated prices of staying in the town centre.

Disliked: We both wished we could have stayed longer!

Had a brilliant time here had 2 that had never been camping and they loved it so much so they want to go next year. The family that run it are amazing brilliant to talk to happy to help. 100% recommend here. Everything was clean. Shower is brilliant nice and warm. Would hire a fire pit was nice and relaxing just watching flames dance plus we cooked are evening meals on it. Really wished stayed longer.

Liked: We were in a campervan on hard standing. Pitch had a wooden picnic table which was great to be able to spread out a bit.

Sunniside is a gorgeous wee campsite surrounded by farmland. Beautiful view, very peaceful. The toilets were spotless.

Highly recommended, I would love to stay here again.

Liked: We loved our 3 nights camping at Sunniside, friendly owners who showed us around, amazing views from our pitch. Helpful information about the local area- pubs, food etc. short distance in the car to get to places such as hikes by Hadrian's wall and Roman fort. Shower and toilet very clean.

Disliked: No dislikes.

Liked: Nice small quiet site, only a hundred yards off the road out of the village.
Level(ish) MH pitches at the back of the field are raised up and have a lovely view across the hills. Clean toilets and good showers, all worked well. I liked the idea of a communal fridge and freezer (good for tent campers).
Friendly host (Holly?), nice welcome and showed us where everything was.

Disliked: Nothing really, although not cheap considering no elec hookup

Liked: Beautiful view that was close to Hadrians wall. Super duper friendly and helpful hosts. Great facilities: good clean toilets and shower, and there's plenty of fire pits to use.

Disliked: The tent pitches are on a slight hill but we didn't notice it in the tent overnight

Liked: Lovely, well organised campsite with amazing views. Facilities were clean and never had to queue use the toilet or shower.
We camped as a family with a 7 year old and a 9 month old and it was the perfect place for us. Would definitely come back and stay.
