Rachel and Sergio are excellent hosts, the cottage is well equipped and immaculately clean. The location by the river is beautiful and it's an easy walk into the village. Perfect place for a short break if you like peace and quiet, hope to return.

Spent a wonderful week in Otter Cottage, one of two converted cottages on the farm. Perfect tranquil location, with the river just outside the front door. The cottage was comfortable, warm, equiped with everything needed and absolutely spotless, with that "you're the first guest" feel. ||Rachel & Sergio are generous & welcoming hosts and nothing was too much trouble. After a long drive from the South, we really appreciated the goody bag of basics that Rachel left ready for our arrival - bread, tea, coffee etc.

We stayed here for 3 nights and found everything about the place superb. Barbara was so kind and helpful, and provided not just a range of delicious breakfasts, but home made cakes on offer throughout the day!||All features in the B&B are top spec, beautiful furniture, fixtures, fittings and fabrics - real luxurious, great decor. Our own room was so comfortable but the shared areas also (dining room and lounge) were a pleasure to behold.||The garden down to the river is a nature lovers delight, an explosion of colour from the variety of amazing flowers bringing in the birds and bees throughout the day.||We would recommend this to anyone who deserves to be pampered.||Thank you Barbara - don't change a thing 🙂

Stayed at Heron Cottage for 3 nights. What a lovely place this is! The setting is fantastic, right on the riverbank. Everything is immaculate inside and some thought has been given to providing everything you may need when there. Rachel & Sergio are so friendly and make you feel so welcome. Definitely 5 *

Just had a lovely couple of nights again at Boat Farm. So peaceful! The cottage was warm and welcoming as always. Bought some fresh bread and chicken in the village on arrival for our first evening. Just had a nice walk along the river and came home and cooked dinner. Second day visited Kielder reservoir. Then went out for dinner to the Cheviot Hotel, only a mile walk from the cottage. Being a torch for the walk home but the bonus is you get to see all those stars! The cottages have everything you need for a perfect break.

My wife and I spent four nights in Heron Cottage at Boat Farm and loved the place. It is situated besides the river, where we saw Kingfishers, Dippers, Goosanders (with chicks) and Mandarin Ducks. Great Spotted Woodpeckers and Nuthatches are regular visitors to the bird feeders also. We didn't see the otters, as some lucky others have.||Everything needed is provided at the cottage. The bread, milk, marmalade, carrot cake, tea, coffee, sugar and crisps were a nice touch in the welcome pack. There is the choice to go boating along the river. A professional snooker table is also available for use (I played a frame - Ronnie O'Sullivan doesn't have much to worry about just yet!)||We would recommend Boat Farm Cottages to everybody. It's such a relaxing place to stay and very much my idea of heaven. We fully intend to return in 2023!

A wonderful host, location and feel. We loved our stay and felt very welcome. The rooms were excellent, clean and brilliantly furnished. The breakfast was very good quality and we loved the little home made cakes on arrival! Thanks for a great stay.

My husband and I stayed in one of the cottages, next to the main house, rather than do a B&B stay on this occasion and it was absolutely wonderful. The cottage was beautiful and such an idyllic setting. As other reviewers have said, Barabra is a very good host - friendly, helpful but not over the top as a few hosts are! She also provides homemade cake to cottage guests, as well as B&B guests which was a relief! ||||The location is fantastic. A short walk to Bellingham, along a lane which is essentially a long driveway to Boat Farm (which is at the end of the lane) with only a few other houses on it so very little traffic. We walked along it to go to dinner in Bellingham one night (but bring a torch if you do!). Bellingham has a butcher, cafes, little co-op shop and pubs so everything you need on hand but not too close, so it's quiet and dark at Boat Farm.||||We would both highly recommend Boat Farm.
