My husband and I stayed at Apples for one night. We stayed in Pippin which was excellent. It was spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable. It was a really good sized room with a nice entrance hall and ensuite bathroom. There were some lovely homemade shortbread biscuits which went down a treat.|Jacquie (and Alfie) were great, very cheerful and made us feel really welcome. Breakfast was superb with Jacquie's homemade granola and spiced pears, full english and homemade bread not forgetting the freshly squeezed orange juice. |We would definitely return here.|

We stayed here for a couple of nights last week and when we left it felt like leaving a friend or family member. Jacquie is a delightful lady and she keeps her business top notch. We have always stayed at b/b rather than soulless hotel chains and have always given honest reviews. I believe reviews are by far the best way to get a good deal and an honest opinion. This beautiful cottage is cosy although not tiny and lovingly kept by Jacquie and ably assisted by the adorable Alfie - he is one super friendly spaniel and obviously the Boss! We were shown to our large spotless bedroom and en-suite. Super comfy bed and springy pillows. Bed linen was very good quality and the newly laundered fresh smell was very inviting. Jacquie will cook you up just about anything you could want for breakfast at a time of your request. Nothing was too much trouble.It isn't always easy to feel immediately at home in someone else's home, but there was not a second of anything but a warm welcome here.. Like visiting an old friend or family member. Breakfast was a special event chatting to the other guests and Jacquie whilst enjoying a freshly cooked breakfast, oh and before that fresh fruit salad or poached pears with granola and yoghurt. Cereals as well and home baked bread, finishing off with more toast and home made marmalade. We will be going back to see Jacquie. I am sure she gets a lot of repeat visitors and that is how you define a good b/b. Thank you Jacquie, another friend to put on my Christmas card list.

We booked this very last minute, as we were heading to Oakham for a meeting. As we only live around 25 miles away, we were looking for something of good value. This place absolutely hit the mark, and delivered more! We stayed in "granny smith". A separate building from the main house, decorated to a very high standard, with all the amenities you'd expect from a much pricier hotel. Jacqui, our host, was extremely friendly and provided an excellent breakfast with home made bread, granola and marmalade........ Coffee in abundance and more than enough for even the biggest appetite. A very quiet location, but not too far from local towns. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay, and would have gladly stayed longer. Who knew such a lovely place was literally on our doorstep. Would highly recommend and hope to return one day. found our room key in a key safe. The room was clean and a good size with fresh milk and shortbread for a cup of tea/coffee. There was room to hang clothes and the bathroom was an ok size. We also had two small dogs which we were allowed to bring for a small surcharge. The B&B is well located for the beautiful Rutland Water and other towns and villages such as Stamford. Jacquie was a great host and served a delicious breakfast with eggs cooked how you liked! Fully recommend staying at Apples B&B.

Jacqui is the most welcoming host. She showed us to our room that had been prepared beautifully - gorgeous bed linen, shortbread biscuits - it was perfect.||||The bed was SO comfortable, we slept like babies. ||||Breakfast was delicious. My vegan diet was catered for with a variety of choices. ||||I recommend Apples and would love to stay again.

We loved everything about our stay at Apples. The friendly welcome by Jacquie, the immaculate, cosy room, the homemade shortbread and the excellent breakfast. Breakfast is served at a communal table and we enjoyed chatting to the other guests who were very nice. Apples is in a very quiet, peaceful situation and is well placed for exploring Rutland. There are many pretty villages and numerous lovely pubs in the area.

Jacquie was the perfect hostess, very friendly and welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. The rooms were spotlessly clean, well equiped and very spacious. The homemade biscuits on arrival were
a lovely thought and delicious. The breakfasts were delicious and generous. Loved the spiced pears and Jamacian bananas. We also enjoyed meeting Alfie the lovely dog, such a sweetie !! Thankyou Jaquie we shall definitely return.

This b&b offers all that is good in a b&b - a beautiful comfortable quiet room, delicious home cooked food ( special mention of the spiced pears and yogurt is now due) and a very welcoming host with an adorable friendly dog. Perfection- I wouldn’t change a thing about this beautiful place - my sister and I enjoyed a 3 night stay there and would return in a heartbeat. Look no further if this is the area you need to be in - you won’t regret it!|Well done to Jacqui - our bubbly hostess 👏🏼👏🏼|
