Great place and do a vegan 🌱 breakfast, all cooked separately from meat products and all cooked fresh, really good value for money but very busy and I’m not surprised, will definitely return.

Used to go here occasionally a decade ago and loved it. Had my first (two) visits in years after moving back into the area and it’s just as good as I remember. Lovely atmosphere, great prices, the staff are friendly and the food is delicious. It’s also one of very few places you can get a hearty meal for a meat eater and a vegan.

A hidden gem on a back street in Corby. Calling this a “greasy spoon cafe” really doesn’t do justice to how good the experience of eating at The Hungry Hossee is. It’s from a dying breed of traditional British café where the service is friendly, the food affordable, tasty and plentiful.

You’ll find people from across the community eating here too, and everyone is welcomed with a smile.

It’s really apparent that the whole team gives 100% to serving customers and preparing food. So far, I’ve just had a few cooked breakfasts, consisting of bacon, fried egg, sausage, black pudding, sausage square, mushrooms, baked beans and tomatoes with fried bread and bread and butter or toast. They’ll happily accommodated variations/changes too, and cooked breakfasts come with a hot drink too… all very reasonably priced.

Fine dining this is not, but it is good food, it is in surprisingly civil surroundings (looks better inside than out) and the service as I’ve already mentioned is fantastic.

My ONLY suggestion (and this goes for many similar establishments) would be to provide sausages of a higher quality. They’re not bad, but it’s a bit of a missed opportunity that would really elevate the experience.

Great food, great service... but the rolls must have been sliced by a man half cut (not even once they have been cut straight)
