Found this little cafe whilst working in the area and it blew me away. The staff are lovely, friendly and down to earth. It was busy when i visited but a table was cleared for me soon after my arrival. The cakes were nearly all sold out but what i did have was lovely.

Took my little boy here at the weekend a few weeks ago to try the pancakes that are so famously raved about. I was NOT disappointed !! They were amazing especially for the price you pay you definitely get your money's worth !! We chose chocolate Nutella and strawberries, they were delicious 😋 🤤. Obviously my son just HAD to share them with me as he had such a huge portion 🤣😍. Will definitely come again for pancakes 🥞. Staff were amazing as usual and always have time to say hello to my little boy who's always got something to say and it's sociable, atmosphere was lovely and calm.

First time me dad went . We didn't know they finished lunch. But a lady let us have a sandwich. Last month. Today me and dad went in. It was hot in the cafe. No air. Coronation chicken was a bit strange. Also children sitting on the table. I don't think that's good. And very noisy. Staff are nice

Love this coffee shop the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The food is fresh and tasty. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who go out of their way to be helpful. Such a wonderful selection of cakes to suit all tastes baked fresh.

Stopped at The Good Bean to kill some time with a Latte and Cake... The homemade cakes are amazing as is the service. Relaxed ambience with tables, chairs and sofas too. Prices very reasonable and slices of cake generous. Highly recommended.

I’m writing to express my disappointment following my recent visit to the Good Bean. After three years of frequenting your establishment, I was quite saddened by what transpired during my last visit.

I waited over 40 minutes for food that never arrived. Despite being reassured three times that our order was coming next, we watched as others who arrived after us received their food before we did. This was particularly frustrating, especially after being promised that our food was next.

After visiting the kitchen twice and still not receiving our order, I decided it was time to leave. When I expressed this the second timeI was told, “that’s up to you.” Not only was this response disappointing, but I also left without being offered a refund for the food that never arrived.

Am I wrong for expecting a refund under these circumstances? I don’t believe so, as I didn’t receive the service I paid for. I hope that by sharing this experience, it can lead to improvements in how similar situations are handled in the future.

A hidden gem situated on the outskirts of a new housing development. The staff are wonderful. So kind and friendly. A delicious brunch affair (a generous helping of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs) at an unbelievably reasonable price. Nice selection of biscuits and drinks for children. A light and airy building. Going to go back again tomorrow!

A lovely cafe that opened recently. The coffee is good and the cakes are tasty! On a Sunday from 10-2pm they do proper American Diner pancakes and other brunch things too - with all the proper American syrups, "just like an ihop". This is a good place to bring young children too, and there is a table outside for when the weather is nice.
There is a carpark that is small and a bit tricky to access!
