Great location for town centre, lovely warm room and lashings of hot water. The bed was one of the best I’ve slept in at a hotel, nice and firm. All you can eat breakfast in a spacious conservatory. Very friendly staff and ample parking. Couldn’t fault my stay. Thank you.

Room 7 Purbeck House.... A lovely, tastefully prepared room... Totally in keeping with the building's heritage. |A great sized, very comfortable bed and a powerful shower with simple controls. The room was spotlessly clean and tidy and the thoughtful touches of wall papered drawer bottoms, unintrusive power sockets above the bed, the TV on the wall opposite the bed etc.|I don't want to say anything against this room, but if I had too then it would be this. The fantastic windows are tall original sash windows, with pull chords to open and shut the top window. If there was a hook to tie off the ropes it would stop the top window from easing down under it's own weight. Not needed in summer......|I haven't mentioned the fabulous marble fire place or the wonderfully vintage 'old school' styled radiators or the high quality bathroom decor.|It was a very happy couple of nights while we did our Christmas shopping in Swanage.|Thank you.

Great Room with a really comfortable bed. My only gripe with the room was the pillows. |Staff are excellent and extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the area.|Cooked breakfast left a little bit to be desired, but the cold breakfast buffet was fine. On the Monday morning I had a full English, very greasy potatoes and mushrooms. Produce was cheap and the eggs were like rubber.|I tried again on Wednesday when Kevin was cooking with just scrambled egg and tomatoes and it was fine.|Situated perfectly to all amenities, bars and restaurants and everywhere worth seeing is close by to drive to.|Overall the hotel is fantastic and we will hopefully return.|I want to give a special mention for Carling, Alison, Michelle and Sharon. All super staff, that’s not to take away anything from everyone else.

I've had the good fortune to stop at the Purbeck House Hotel a number of times over the years. The warm and friendly welcome at reception, the spacious rooms, comfy beds and tasty breakfast will have me returning again. |Unfortunately they were not providing evening meals during this visit, but there are excellent restaurants in short walking distance.|thank you to the team for a friendly and relaxing stay.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout the stay. The hotel is well positioned in the centre of Swanage, a short walk from town, beach and railway station. Great views from the room. Lifts would be nice but the stairs are not too steep. Car parking is safe and secure

Stayed in Louisa Lodge, room was very cold in the evening because we noticed the latch on the window was broken and a cold draft coming through.||The fan in the bathroom was also blowing out cold air so made us cold when showering. Also need something to keep bathroom door open to get some warmth in there.||Was disappointed that we didn’t have a hot buffet breakfast which I was looking forward to. Took so much longer to give order and get the breakfast. ||Not enough lighting in the gardens up to Louisa Lodge at night, had to use the torch on my mobile phone.||It was in a good location and not far from town and beach.

Very comfortable bed, room was very spacious and clean . Quiet and peaceful all needs catered for.Hotel is in a very good spot for walking and handy for the town. Will definitely be making a return visit. Plenty of good cafes in town for food etc .

Lovely friendly hotel with fabulous service. Pathway a little dark heading to Louisa lodge but overall very comfortable & pleasant stay. Great location for Swanage town & beach area. Parking & good location for Swanage railway & bus station.
