Stayed here whilst walking the coast path. There is a long diversion away from the coast to Kingston, so it was in a great location. The pub is clearly very old and the rooms reflect this. Very
clean and warm but slightly shabby.
I arrived on a Sunday, and they were serving Sunday Roasts, which was excellent - perfect after a long walk.
Breakfast was lovely too - quality ingredients and well cooked.
All in all, it was a very pleasant stay

After a morning walking the Purbeck hills we enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the Scott Arms. The food was delicious, a smallish menu but a GREAT choice of creative dishes, beautifully presented and food sourced locally. The roaring fire and welcoming staff made us feel very ‘at home’. We shared some Scott’s Eggs which were fabulous, my cured trout was wonderful and the pork chop beautifully presented on a bed of mash and beans and accompanied by pork scratching and a jus to die for! The venison and the hake was thoroughly enjoyed too. It won’t be long until we return!

I’ve never been disappointed by The Scott Arms, it’s beautiful in the summer and in the winter the Sunday roast is incredible and great value. Really high quality beef, portion sizes are amazing, a great selection of veg and the Yorkshire pudding …. Delicious!!

Already looking forward to my next visit 👍🏻

Visited for a Sunday lunch and was really impressed. Great, friendly service and really tasty lunch with all the trimmings. As a veggie it's not always a great option, but the mushroom wellington was absolutely delicious!

Some of the reviews on here are a little negative but we found this a lovely place to visit. So much so that we had dinner twice there and intend to return again when we come back to this beautiful part of the world. It might be a different story when they are busy in the Summer, but we were served quickly and the food was delicious. The landlady and her daughter were very friendly and welcoming and we look forward to returning soon.

The location is stunning (sweeping views across to Corfe Castle and Poole). A cool Autumn evening so sitting out on the terrace wasn’t an option but we were still able to appreciate the view from our table. Great service - very attentive, welcoming but not intrusive. The food was excellent. All in all a lovely evening meal.

Food is very nice, if a bit on the higher end for a country pub. Still they need to pay bills or we lose them. The view of the castle is priceless in good weather, not storm Darragh!
Watch out for the service charge.

What a great place to spend your Sunday. I will definitely be back. I started with the delicious Scott’s egg then followed by a lovely pork roast.
