Stayed for 3 nights at the rather lovely premises belonging to Helen and Matthew and found the accommodation to be extremely comfortable with a pleasant large bedroom and spacious modern bathroom. We felt very welcomed and well cared for and cannot praise Helen’s cooking enough. The breakfasts were delicious (pre ordered from the night before) and the produce was locally sourced and of great quality. We also took the opportunity of having supper on our first night which was a delight too. We certainly wouldn’t hesitate at all to recommend this property and hosts to anyone looking for a place to stay whilst exploring the very pretty surrounding villages and towns. Own transport is a must.

We really enjoyed our stay - location, facilities & hospitality were all fantastic.
It's a good base to walk and drive to different areas. Our dog is anxious and can be noise reactive - we had no issues at all here as it's so quiet, and she settled in straight away.
The hut has everything we needed - the kitchen was so well stocked and a great use of space. We enjoyed using all the extras - hot tub, telescope, pizza oven, Cobb oven - and appreciated that these came with everything you needed to be able to use them!
The weather wasn't great the first couple of days, but we still enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings and the hut was always warm and cosy!

We recently had the pleasure of staying for two nights at Hill House B&B and could not recommend this place enough. |Our hosts were exceptional and we were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They were very friendly and made us feel relaxed with their fantastic hospitality. |The house itself is lovely. The bedroom was very large with everything you could need for your stay. The super comfortable bed made for an excellent nights sleep. |Bathroom was large, modern and very clean. |Breakfast was brilliant with produce from local butchers and bakers, freshly squeezed juices and homemade marmalade/jams,which made it all very tasty. Topping it off was the incredible view from the dining room which looked out across the countryside. |The location was great for us, visiting the beautiful Castle Combe, no more than 10 mins drive away. |The personal touches made this stay perfect.

You will not go wrong with fantastic gem of a B&B.|The location is out of this world, high on a hill overlooking the beautiful countryside. |The accommodation is excellent with a lovely comfortable bed and a great bathroom with a nice powerful shower. |The owners are wonderful people who make you very welcome, and the breakfast is perfect to keep you going on your travels. |All in this has to be definitely one of the better places to stay in this area.

Chose here to spent time together on our ten years marriage anniversary and sixteen years together.
We went to the very top of the hill to get to where we were staying at the look out shepperds hut.
Relaxing, good views, , owners are brilliant hosts. . The wood fire hot tub, just what was needed( bathing clothing is a must). Small wood fire to cook on or just toast marshmallows.
Had access to a teliscope and used it on a night with clear sky and full moon.
For any couple needing time to recharge and get away from it all. This is the place. Will be back. 😁

Amazing location and features at the Lookout! We enjoyed the little touches Helen added to the place, the fresh coffee blend, the hot tub and treats! Would highly recommend it for the comfort and different experience for a couple.

Amazing host. Great place. Fantastic pets. What else you need. The place itself is so beautiful that you can spend 1 day all over there only. Amazing walks near by.||It is approx 2 miles from Castle Combe, so those who do not like walking on quite road, you can get a taxis easily.

First review, so be reassured, this place does exist||||1) Finding isn't easy. On the main Chippenham to Bristol road in Ford, road take Old Coach Road to the west of the church and head right to the top, it's the right turn next to the farm||2) It's a place driven by offering a personal touch, you are made to feel genuinely welcome||3) Breakfast is amazing, not a bunch of produce from Lidl or Tesco but locally sourced and imaginatively presented local produce||4) Great location to walk to Castle Coombe which is 3km and along a very scenic Coombe||5) Well placed for another good place (The White Hart at Ford) which is a 600 metre walk away.|| All in all you have all the ingredients for a memorable stay
