Just visited this weekend for the first time for a relaxing weekend away.
Hot tub was a great addition to the lodge and we all enjoyed it very much. Very private which was nice. Smart TV, decking, all the basic essentials in the kitchen. Bathrobes and slippers in the wardrobes on arrival which were very handy with the hot tub.
ALDI is just a few minutes away in the car if you need anything, chippy 2 mins drive away. We didn't venture out much so cant comment on other parts of the local area. It was very much a hot tub, board games and jigsaws in the lodge kind of a break. Will definitely be returning. Thank you!

Lovely 4 night stay here for our family of four while exploring Leicestershire. Caravan was clean and we had everything we needed to be able to cater for ourselves (a few more glasses/plates/baking trays would be helpful if I'm being picky as just one set of crockery per person and one tray). All was clean and comfortable and the hot tub was lovely! Any issues (broken can opener) were responded to swiftly by Bill. A quiet site, well located for exploring the area, would recommend to those planning to do the same.

We stayed in the lodge earlier this year and when going through my emails, I realised that I had not left a review. I came on and saw recent reviews and thought it was even more important to leave mine now.||We arrived later than expected due to traffic but we were able to access the lodge and our keys were waiting for us. We were unable to make the deposit payment until the next day (understandably, the owners are allowed an evening to switch off rather than having to keep coming out to take deposits at different times of the evening as naturally, guests will arrive at different times).||The deposit was taken the next morning when someone called with a card machine to take it. The only downside to this is you're waiting around to make the payment but luckily, this didn't affect us too much. I do feel a better system could be in place as some people may wish to go out early morning. Maybe a link could be sent so you can make a deposit payment online?||The deposit was returned within a matter of days and we did not need to chase this up with either the owners or the bank.||Regarding communication - yes, I do recall thinking some of the text messages were slightly short and unprofessional but that is what happens when communication is done via text, we can come across in a way that we do not mean and we can interpret messages incorrectly. Based on this, my suggestion would be to, fluff your text messages up more or have a standard email which contains all details that a guest would require. This would then alleviate the need for the test messages resulting in less work for you and a more professional impression being given to your guests.||Upon arrival, the heating had been put on ready for when we arrived. I felt this was a great touch and I have never had this in any other lodge that we have stayed in. The lodge was clean and tidy, as I would expect. The table was set-up and again, I felt this was a lovely touch.||There is an information booklet that contains an abundance of leaflets including local days out and takeaways. Another super touch. This meant that we didn't have to sit and Google what we were going to eat due to our late arrival. We looked at the leaflets and my partner went to get our evening meal.||I have read someone else's review which states the rooms are small; I totally dispute this. I found the rooms to be incredibly spacious and the positive to the twin room was that you could move the beds and push them together. This was perfect given that our 5 year old was sleeping in there. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean.||My negative would be a couple of broken tiles/sink in the bathroom. I was worried that we would lose our deposit due to this so had taken photos to ensure I had evidence that they were broken on arrival. My suggestion with this would be, in a confirmation email advise that you are aware of the broken tiles/sink and it is something that you are looking at getting resolved.||Overall, we had a lovely stay and I feel recent reviews on here are unfair. I am big on reading reviews before I book anywhere and I would like to think like me, most people would look at those recent reviews and think that for some people, you just cannot please them.||With a couple of tweaks, you could have this amazing because the location is quite and just what you need to getaway and unwind.||We would definitely rebook.

Was such a lovely lodge. Me and my partner had a lovely visit. Was very clean and spacious. Had everything we needed for the stay. Would have preferred more dishwasher tablets, bin bags and loo roll as we had to ask for more, though the staff was lovely and didn’t hesitate to accommodate us.

We spent four nights here during the Easter week. Everything was perfectly clean, no problems with the freezer or the deposit. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is a bit isolated, which is nice, but a car is needed to visit attractions.

Check in straight forward, yes there is security deposit (which i was made aware of at time of booking) which has already dropped back into my account (same day as check out)
Lodge - overall was clean, bed was reasonably comfortable, lodge itself is a good size.
We traveled with 2 young children so maybe not best location for us as nothing on site for children under 5.
Hot tube was lovely and warm, even in March (fortunately had weather) not private as would of liked but still really good.
Location - entrance is sharp on a fast road so could miss it, and as in a very quiet location you have to travel to do anything.
We had a problem with heating on first day, was reported and fixed within minutes.
Staff were overall friendly and welcoming especially the guy who fixed heating he was really friendly
Recommend you need a car and not suitable for young children but overall clean relaxing visit and would recommend to a couple
WiFi worked really well whole time we were there was able to stream live sport on the WiFi connection
Gated entrance but your a fobe for entry/exit
