What a wonderful hotel this is. The photos on the web don’t do it justice.

Some things that you might find helpful -

- Really lovely bedrooms
- iPads in rooms to order, to check in, to view menus etc, however ours didn’t work and everything is on there so a bit stuck if it doesn’t work
- Lovely bathrooms, although the control for the smaller shower in our room was extremely stiff and found it difficult to turn on. I had an operation and needed to use the smaller shower head rather than the large. Sorted it in the end though
- Very central - hotel is perfectly located for a city break and the car park is charged at £8 a night
- Food - a few observations with regards to the restaurant and the room service. The menu on the room service (some meals similar to the main menu) were charged at a higher price which is fine, however they then charge for the room service and add on a tip which makes it very expensive. restaurant food - due to the room service we checked out the food at the restaurant, no option but to have a 2 or 3 course meal. A 2 course meal is charged at £48.75 which makes it extremely expensive (included photos of the menu) and we also weren’t that hungry. Breakfast price does not include Cappuccino or latte, these are extra
- Staff - staff are lovely!
- Breakfast time - Sunday breakfast is served until 10 however you are best to get there a fair bit earlier to avoid things running out like they were when we stayed. At this point it was too late to get anything else (9.45). Our fault, we should have got up earlier but always nice to have a lie in at the weekend.

We had a really enjoyable stay and will be back! Paid £142 including breakfast.

We’re regular visitors and have always enjoyed ourselves. Our latest visit was no different. As it was my wife’s birthday we upgraded to a suite (£190). It was wonderful. We didn’t eat at the hotel but enjoyed a drink in the bar which was atmospheric and pleasant. In summary we could find little to fault the hotel. As I bonus we were allowed to keep our car at the car park beyond the 3pm limit. A nice gesture

I'd been to Norwich once before, having been to Thursford Spectacular, but our coach dropped us off in the middle of New Town, so I didn't get to experience the Old Town - we didn't stay over when we first visited.||||But, having stayed this weekend, simply due to four women wanting a weekend away, what a difference the Old Town is. We chose The Maid's Head Hotel, purely because of it's location, which is fantastic. So close to many bars, pubs, restaurants and shops!||||We arrived around Noon, but weren't able to check-in until 3pm, but having given my registration details, we parked in The Hotel's car park, very easily. There is a car park for the Wetherspoon's next door, so do make sure you park in The Hotel's Car Park. It is £8 per day. We didn't leave until 3pm the following day, but we were only charged £8, which isn't bad, considering you are in the middle of town, and anyone can use the adjoining car park.||||Reception staff were always available and so very helpful.||||We stayed on the 2nd floor. I'd asked for non-pet friendly rooms, and we were all so pleased with our rooms. Two of us had single occupancy. My friend had a bath, with an overhead shower. I had a very large shower. Not many toiletries, but you can ask for extras - there is a list in the room. But there's soap, tissues, shower gel and shampoo/condition, but I always take my own anyway. The towels were white and fluffy and the bedding just perfect.||||The view from my room (224) was basically some carp park and a wall, but we checked in when it was dark, and out by 11am, so I wasn't too bothered about a view. The decor of the room was lovely - newly refurbished - I was very pleased.||||Lots of wardrobe space, a safe, a small mini-fridge, with a water in it, an iron and board and a great hairdryer.||||We didn't eat in the hotel, so I can't speak about the food, but the restaurant looked great. The Hotel does have it's own small bar, which has a good selection of drinks and reasonably priced.||||We would definitely stay at this hotel again. It really is so central, clean, with very professional staff and so very helpful. GREAT STAY!

I have just stayed at the Maid's Head for my daughter's wedding. Her and her fiance chose the venue , and it was the perfect place for their big day . |We arrived along with my elderly mother and booked in , my mother's bathroom had a small leak from a radiator which I reported at reception , by the time I got back to the room the maintenance guys were guy had just arrived and fixed it .|All the staff at the hotel were so accommodating and couldn't have done any more to make sure the day went perfectly. All were very friendly ,helpful and just made us feel relaxed . |We stayed 2 days , all the food was excellent , the rooms were a good size , well equipped, the beds comfortable and all spotlessly clean. |Our wedding was only a small affair- immediate family and a handful of friends , and the rooms we used for the wedding were perfect for the amount of people. They have other rooms that can handle larger groups. |The hotel has plenty of character, is well maintained , has a large car park - and has a selection of Rolls Royce on show. It is only a few minutes walk from the city centre and cathedral , and would be great for a city break . |My daughter and her now husband dealt with most of the staff who were on hand for the wedding , but I dealt with Chris who was on hand for anything we needed and went way and beyond to make sure that everything went smoothly .

Having stayed here several time we were disapointed this time with our room. It was adequate but bathroom needs attention and on arrival the room was freezing cold (15 degrees). Eventually it warmed up with the help of reception turning up the heating and an electric heater being delivered but surely if the hotel knows that the room is booked it should be of a decent temperature for when guests arrive. Good poinrs are the bed was comfortable, the hotel is historic and beautiful and the location with car park.

We had amazing two nights stay at Maids Head and would whole-heartedly recommend this hotel. Yes it’s a bit dated and not step free, we still had very good nights of sleep, bed was comfy with different types of pillows available.
The service was indeed second to none. We spoke to four different members on reception, all very welcoming and informative. There was good selection of food at breakfast, and the two gentlemen working in the restaurant were very attentive and helpful.
Most of all, Nigel was wonderful, he drove us around Norwich in the beautiful Bentley, it was such a great experience.
With its great location and parking onsite, in addition to the great service, this is THE hotel of choice in Norwich.
Make sure you choose an upgraded room.

Most staff were lovely but Sunday evening and Monday morning it seemed like many were unsure what was going on. Lots was out of stock on Sunday and Monday too unfortunately. There is almost no ventilation in the bathrooms so the water runs down the walls and window.

The beds are really comfy. The breakfast usually has good gluten free options. It's a 10-15 min walk to get into city centre. Nice restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops near too.

Booked an overnight stay with a friend to see a concert. The booking process is very clear and the service on booking in etc was very friendly and warm. I had phoned to ask for a twin room but it was set up as double - no problem they altered the configuration immediately for us while we popped out for shopping.|Plenty of parking, which is an additional charge, but a very reasonable fee, just work it into the price if you stay.|Room had all that we needed, good size bathroom, over bath shower but this does give options for a bath or shower depending on preference. There is a small fridge with water in. Tea and coffee facilities (UHT milk), choice of teas. There is a lovely restaurant and you can try their afternoon tea which is very good too. |You are in the heart of Norwich, a beautiful city. On the doorstep of the Cathedral and 10 minutes to the centre of shopping and theatres. |Staff a amazingly friendly and efficient - highly recommend.
