We are so glad we found Norm + Iris to cater for our post wedding day fire feast. Fantastic to deal with them throughout the whole process and they really helped us create what we wanted from our day. They 100% delivered on the agreed menu and we plus guests were all extremely satisfied! The set up and cooking is a show in itself. They are completely self sufficient and also provide recyclable tableware/cutlery if required. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and wouldn’t hesitate to be in touch again if we can find another excuse. Thanks guys!

Norman and Iris of Grate catering did a fabulous job of dinner for my birthday party. Food was delicious served exactly on time. My friends were gushing with praise - loving the gorgeous smells as they arrived, the smart service and the tangy flavours in all the dishes. I was recommended Norm and Iris by The Smokin' Elk whilst trying to find a live fire chef to cook a celebration feast at my 40th birthday weekend. From the first informal chat, through a Zoom menu planning session, to everything on the day, I found them to be some of the most genuine, enthusiastic, and fun people to deal with. It really felt like they cared about making my celebration absolutely perfect. If you love live fire cooking, supper clubs, tasting menus, real barbecue, these guys will surpass all of your and your guests' expectations. And they will do it with such theatre, good humour, friendly banter, and passion. Amazing team, amazing people, amazing food, can't recommend highly enough!

We asked Grate to cater for our wedding (canapés, main and dessert), and for family brunch the day after, and they were amazing. Their ethos about food and the nature of their open fire cooking was so in line with our values and the festival vibe of our day. Iris & Norman the dream team cooked for a small party of approx 50 people. The communication through the booking process and right up to the day was quick, easy and professional. Grate Catering put together a menu and it ticked all the boxes.

Now the food….. mouthwatering, succulent, tasty, fresh, amazing, are a few of the words I overheard guests saying. And I whole heartedly agree!

Cannot recommend Norman and Iris highly enough. They catered for our wedding of 45 for sit down meal and 100 for evening ‘snacks’. How they managed to cook steak for that many people at one time so perfectly I’ll never know. They were a delight to deal with from start to finish. It’s been weeks since the event and people are still commenting on the cheese toasties and the steak. Thank you both so much!
