Our trip to the Sugar Beat, Swainsthorpe, Near Norwich was absolutely first class. The hotel was very good indeed with excellent accommodation and first class food. The staff were absolutely superb and looked after us very well indeed. They were very helpful and kind and could not do enough for us. We were treated superbly and nothing was too much trouble. As I am disabled they were extremely helpful to both my self and my husband and I would definitively recommend this hotel. The only drawback was there is no lift but as the staff were keen to help us this was not a problem. The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the variety for breakfast and also our evening meal. Our visit was unfortunately for a very sad reason being that my brother-in-law had passed away at the beginning of January but they looked after us very well indeed. We would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return on our next visit. I cannot thank Georgie and her staff enough and they all came to see us off the morning we left and we were very touched by this gesture. As my husband and I have always said we treat people as we expect to be treated and this was exactly how we were treated with kindness and consideration. I would like the owners of the Sugar Beat to know that their staff are a credit to them and we appreciated all the kindness we were shown.

We booked this place for a break in Norwich, but when we arrived, the place looked completely empty and totally run down. They didn’t provide us with a pin code to retrieve the key, and there was no one to check us in. Looks awful from the outside. This place is also advertised to rent per month on a property website. Total scam. Avoid at all costs.
