My daughter’s wedding August 2024:||I stayed at Rossington Hall many times during the 12 months up to August 2024 to discuss plans for my daughter’s wedding with wedding planner and manager Jayne and also with Lucy and Gary, the general manager and owner.||Gary, the owner and chef even carried my suitcase up to my room on arrival!||Firstly, may I say that I have stayed in many well known 5 star hotels all over the world and Rossington Hall compares very favourably with them all for comfort, customer service and ambience. All the rooms are different and each has its own special charm. The hospitality tray had a good selection of hot and cold drinks and biscuits. ||My daughter, her fiancé and myself had previously looked at many other wedding venues in South Yorkshire. No other venue offered us any variation from their set menus and options. We were shown round in groups by disinterested staff, in a procession with many other engaged couples. There was absolutely no personal service. ||Then, what a delight to discover Rossington Hall, where we were given an individual appointment and were greeted by Jayne, their wedding planner/manager. No words can describe what an amazing person she is. Nothing is any trouble to her and she was able to accommodate all our needs regarding food options (there were many vegetarian guests) and wedding organisation, so making the wedding such a special occasion for us. ||Many emails were sent throughout the year between myself and Jayne, Lucy and Gary, with the engaged couple also messaging them. We always received prompt replies and could also chat to them on the phone.||We opted for exclusive use of the hotel the night before the wedding and arranged a dinner in one of their beautiful rooms for those guests staying that night. Gary made us some delicious food, which we had pre ordered, all professionally served by Jayne and Debbie. The house wine was excellent.||Jayne organised a mini rehearsal the night before the wedding.||Then on the wedding day itself, everything came together, ably overseen by Lucy and Gary while Jayne expertly coordinated the florist, chair cover lady, photographer, string quartet and DJ, all chosen by my daughter and her fiancé . As requested at lunchtime, platters of sandwiches were sent to the bridal room and also to the other guests preparing for the wedding. There is a special bridal dressing room where our hairdresser could do our hair. It also had a beautiful bridal chair plus a shower and toilet.||The ceremony was beautiful, followed by the reception where a red carpet was laid outside in the SUNSHINE! Photo opportunity! All the guests then greeted the bride and groom, and were served very professionally and unobtrusively with Prosecco and other drinks, plus canapés previously chosen by us. Later we were all discretly called into the ballroom for dinner.||The wedding breakfast in the ballroom was served by a procession of smartly dressed, white gloved young people, ably directed by Jayne. The food was delicious. ||Jayne, Debbie and Thomas were all there working hard throughout the day and evening, well into the small hours. Nothing was too much trouble for them all. The lighting change in the ballroom created a lovely atmosphere for the dancing.||The next morning a delicious vegetarian breakfast was served by Debbie who was very attentive to everyone’s requests.||My personal thanks to the whole team at Rossington Hall who made this wedding such an outstanding success.||The whole experience was an undoubted success and I’ve received many glowing thank you letters. The bride has said she never ever expected it to be so wonderful and would like to do it all over again!||From:||A very happy Mother of the Bride!!
