This hotel is terrible.

The Pros, which are minimal:
This hotel is in a quiet area.
There are cafes and restaurants nearby that are within walking distance from the hotel.
The on-site car park is free.

The Cons, the rest is just awful:
The toilet doesn't flush.
The shower/toilet room is very cramped.
The pillow cases and the pillows were not clean. They had an unpleasant smell on them. I had to cover one of them with my hoody in order to sleep. That just about made it bearable.
The curtains are so thin they didn't make the room dark because they lack blackout material.

Very limited number of parking spaces in front of the hotel. I was very lucky to find a vacant spot to park my car when I arrived. If my memory serves me well, there are 7 or 8 parking spaces for over 20 rooms which isn't ideal.
The streets in the area of the hotel is full of yellow lines that prevent you from parking your car anywhere nearby if there are no spaces in the car park.
Since that is the case, it raises the question:
Where are people supposed to park their cars when the car park is full?

I stayed on the top floor where there were four rooms crammed together. It would be a lot better to have two spacious rooms than to have four cramped rooms with awkwardly placed furniture.

Worst of all, there were inconsiderate guests on the same floor as me. There were kids making a lot of noise and their parents made little to no effort to quieten them down. This continued until midnight. And there was a couple next to my room who watched television into the early hours of the morning, around 2 am.
This disrupted my sleep and ruined my stay.
This tells me that the walls are very thin, and not soundproofed.

This is not a good hotel at all.
Very expensive for a poor quality hotel.

Overall, I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Tiny tiny tiny - yes a single room was booked - I’d never swing a cat anyway but not even enough space to swing a rat - dated from the 1970s decor to the plastic wonky shower - no cups or mugs and no use anyway as kettle didn’t work |Scruffy carpet|Dated bed with awful mattress |1,hand towel |No larger towel|Reception staff and cleaning staff don’t win any hospitality stars either|Before I saw my room I had a red alert when I checked in and was handed front door key and an aerosol room freshener can !|Back is killing me after a terrible sleep and not even a morning cuppa tea |Don’t believe the photos on booking . Friendly staff & central location. Parking included, that is where the 1* star ends. Room 4 deeply unpleasant with the smell of smoke. All windows open upon arrival, clearly trying to air the room. Several deep cleans would be ambitious to get rid of the smell. Waking up throughout the night feeling sick from it. Good job I had my asthma inhaler with me. ||My wife and I only had one tea mug between us and one glass to share for water. The kettle we didn't use until the morning when I flicked the lid there was brown flakes inside. Rinsed it a few times, made a cup and decided to leave it. ||No bin provided in the room. Upon arrival there was only half a toilet roll provided. So one of us had to wait. ||Signage- in case of fire please leave immediately notified if the alarm sounds its a continuous sound. ||There is NO building/evacuation map on the internal door as there should be legally, in any guest room of where the assembly point is . Not sure if the door to the room was a fire rated door. Was too light and may cause a fire to spread quicker. Smoke alarm in room. With the smell of smoke in this room I question if its connected. ||Bed was soft. Too soft, poor sleep. ||We were visiting friends out in Bromley for a birthday & all we wanted was a room that was clean and had the basics, enough toilet roll, a cup and glass each, clean kettle and bin. ||This hotel has heaps of great potential and staff are friendly. All it needs is the basics. Get rid of the 1980s duvet too! The rest of the decor. OK ||Chose to eat out for breakfast as felt not clean enough and just wanted to leave. Hope the hotel can resolve all of the above would love them to succeed. ||

Absolutely awful. Rooms not prepared, spoon still had tide marks from last user surfaces dirty, fridge mouldy. Floor completely worn out, sheets old and stained.
Breakfast not served on correct room there, easier for them to use a small dirty non-lit room instead. Took nearly an hour for one piece of toast to arrive and it was the crust only. The smallest scrambled egg you cam imagine. A pot of instant coffee, they do have real but couldn't bother.
Towels removed, not replaced.
Manager / owner blamed all his staff while being more than a little ignorant, he tried not to listen; initially did not own up to being the owner anyway.
It's in a wuite good location with car parking.

I had booked to stay at a sister hotel to the Avis and was changed on the day due to an issue at the other hotel. I had a quick look at some reviews and I have to say I was dreading my stay! I arrived in the evening, and was pleasantly surprised!||Staff checking me in were friendly. Room was spacious for a solo traveler (room 10), it was clean and tidy and had drinks facilities/microwave. No issues for my stay. Hotel was in a very quiet part of Bromley and all my other hotel buddies for the night were nice and quiet. Didn't have any dinner or breakfast as was in late and out early.||Facilities quite basic but value for location for a work stay, no issues as previously mentioned in other reviews. Car park is tight when full though!

We chose this hotel because of the location, being close to family. We had a twin room and the mattresses were so soft the compressed to the base, terrible to sleep on. The bed that i had was broken and was propped up with a piece of wood, this made it higher at the foot of the bed making it uncomfortable to get confortable with my feet higher than my head..The ensuite was grubby with mold in the shower. There was a little kitchenette with a range hood, this was supposed to have the light for this area but there was no way to turn it on, the switch was not there. The fridge froze everything until I managed to turn it down. |The staff were friendly enough to me, but were very offish to my daughter, this happened more than once. |We would never stay here again.

Avoid! Unsanitary and unclean.

My kids were complaining about bits in their bed and I thought they were just being sensitive.

When I went to bed, I put my legs into my bed and they touched something that was wet. I pulled the covers back and the sheets were filthy. The wet item was a contact lens.

We stayed here for one night in July. It took two weeks to recover. My little girl and husband got extremely sick. They both had reactions to insect bites.

I complained but haven’t had an apology.

When I went to get new sheets on the night we stayed the person who was on duty was as shocked as I was and clearly embarrassed by the lazy cleaning staff.

Can’t believe we paid the price we did to stay here. We should definitely be compensated for our stay. It was appalling.

Please do yourself a favour and avoid!
