After a long journey it was a welcome sight to find plenty of parking spaces in the car park followed by a warm friendly welcome. The rooms were spacious, comfy and had everything we needed including plenty of plugs/charging ports. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. After a busy day the bar was calling for a relaxing pint or two before retiring for a good nights sleep. The staff were all very helpful and super friendly. I would highly recommend The Duke's Head

I really enjoyed my stay here while away with work.|Parking on site which is a plus.|Spacious room with a very large comfy bed, Nespresso coffee machine and home made cookies. The bathroom was modern with a good shower. Breakfast was quality.|Nice staff and the pub bar had a great vibe. The bar food was enjoyable but I found the steak pie over seasoned and over priced for what it was. The sausage and mash was great on the second night. |Definitely stay again if I'm down again.

Great room, comfortable and clean. No complaints at all. Good selection of food and well cooked. Will certainly stay again. In particular the omelette was most pleasant as was the full English breakfast. Set up for the day.|Plenty of off street parking available.

This is a nice pub with a lovely atmosphere and good beer. The staff are friendly and efficient. We didn’t eat there this stay but have eaten there in the past and the food was very nice. Our room was comfy and quiet, with a HUGE comfortable bed. I would say the decor in the room was a little tired and we did have a terrifying hair in the shower!. Overall we were happy with our stay though and would definitely return

We are locals , and we go most Sundays for their amazing breakfast. The food is great, the selection for £13.50 is superb.. you can have cereal, yogurts , fruit , juices , tea or coffee , croissants or pan o chocalat (wrong spelling ) and a selection of full English , eggs Benedict etc more.

Natalie is a wonderful hostess and her staff cannot help enough !!

We love the dukes head xx

The room was good size and warm. The beds were very comfortable. Lighting in Shower room lighting not good for shaving or for ladies. Shower cubicle really needs a handrail to ensure nobody slips while showering|Discovered that dogs are now allowed in bedrooms, not a good idea in my opinion, as we had a bad experience once with a dog in an adjoining room yapping all night, Consequently we didn't get a wink of sleep. Must ensure that if we book again we request a room that is not likely to be adjacent to one where there could to be a dog.
