Do not book here! Do not stay here! Find another property trust me! Absolutely disgraceful property owner! ||In a nutshell:|They cancelled my booking the morning I was checking in, whilst I was traveling to the property to attend a wedding that afternoon, alone with a toddler. Leaving us with nowhere to stay, change or eat before the ceremony and forcing me to leave the wedding early to travel to alternative accommodation. No help whatsoever, just told me to stop complaining to them, wasting time that I could be using to find another property to stay at. So far after over 2 weeks of chasing the property owner and booking.com I have still not received or had confirmation I will receive a refund. I’m seeking legal action now.||The full story:|I had a booking here, booked months in advance for 2 nights so that I could attend my sister’s wedding with my 2.5 year old son. Thought it would be perfect as it was across the street from where the reception would be held.|Unfortunately my partner was sick on the Friday we were due to check in, so decided to travel alone with my toddler, but cut the stay to 1 night. So as a courtesy, I informed them that I would be cutting our stay short and arriving to check in the next day instead at midday – I did this as I’d previously asked them if we could check in as early as possible, and I wanted to let them know it would be no rush now, and that I of course wasn’t expecting a partial refund. But made it very explicit that I was still arriving the next day.||The day of check in, I travel up with my son, it’s a 3 hour drive, alone with a toddler, you can imagine how stressful that is. We pull up outside the apartment, no key! – Call them, “sorry we messaged you this morning and as you didn’t reply, we cancelled your booking and have let the property to someone else”. No offer of assistance, not even somewhere I can take my son to change. I am now stranded in Cambridge with a grumpy, car weary toddler, and have to find somewhere for us to get ready for a wedding in 2 hours. The owner literally told me to stop wasting time complaining to them so that I could find somewhere else to stay. I had absolutely no time to get ready for a wedding and find another property in Cambridge last minute – so had to arrange to stay with relatives over an hour away – forcing me to leave the wedding early so that I could get my toddler somewhere he could sleep.||We ended up getting changed in a pub toilet, paying for food out and running across Cambridge to attend the ceremony. Was able to stay for an about an hour and half at the reception and then had to leave!||They promised me a refund the day this all transpired but after weeks of chasing I have yet to receive it. They marked me down as a no show! Do not book here!||You’ve been warned!|

I wouldn't call this a hotel experience, or a B&B type thing to be honest. ||It is a beautiful traditional London home set in a historic corner of Hither Green. The hosts, Ruth and John, are the most delightful of people and we had some lovely conversations in the mornings. ||Everything is clean and organised and yet kind, informal with perfectly functional air.||I'll go further and say, this is a charming and an eminently useful port of call when in South London. ||Many thanks to both Ruth and John for making my last stay a memorable one.||

This is a nice, welcoming place situated in a quiet street close to the station that brings you to London Bridge and Charring Cross in less than 15 minutes. Small rooms, but they're just for sleeping and they're cosy, clean and well-equipped (nice detail to make you feel comfortable: a bathrobe!) Highly recommended B&B with hosts that immediately make you feel at home. I will definitely book again when in London!

Jim and Ruth have done a wonderful job creating a warm, clean and homely environment, that is so relaxed I wanted to move in! Their house is spacious, and cleaned to a 5 star hotel standard, I would not look anywhere else to stay if I was going to London. Literally 2 minutes walk to Hither Green Station which is only a short journey to London Bridge and the city centre. Facilities are amazing, with fresh eggs available for breakfast - laid from their own chickens (kept in their huge garden). ||If you want a relaxed, stress free visit to London, at a price that is affordable, look no further than Fig Tree House, Hither Green. Comfortable, spotlessly clean, homely accommodation in a surprisingly quiet area of the metropolis of London, with first class hosts. Everything you'll need is provided, there's simply nothing not to like!

This is my favourite B&B in England and certainly in London. The room is very comfortable and the very clean bathroom is beside it. Breakfasts are do-it-yourselfs, so you get what you want. The garden is lovely in the evening. Ruth , John and Gerry are great hosts and always entertaining and so helpful.

Thank you for the amazing accommodation truely felt like a home from home. Both hosts are so welcoming and friendly they are truly wonderful people would 100% recommend and re-visit. Lovely size rooms and great breakfast options. Still can't believe how big the garden is considering you are in London.
