Booked a room for two nights for my mother as we live locally. Before her stay I visited reception to make sure she got a quiet room on the ground floor. I was looked after by Virgil who showed me a couple of rooms and assured me my mother would be looked after. On check in Virgil was on hand and gave us a great room and true to his word made sure every part of the stay was excellent. His excellent customer service made this a great experience. Overall a good hotel. Basic facilities but it is clean and quiet. The thing that shone out was the service offered by Virgil. As always it is the staff that make the difference.

Staff were really good but the rooms look and feel tired and the carpets are really quite dirty and could do with a deep clean. Rest of the room and bathroom were clean . With the general level of upkeep it felt over charged.

Dear Travelodge Team,
My husband and I wanted to take a moment to share our recent experience at the South Croydon Travelodge where we was fortunate enough to be assisted by an outstanding member of the team, Deon.
As regular customers of Travelodge hotels across the country for work and leisure we were looking forward to our stay. However upon checking in, Deon pointed out that we had accidentally booked a room with 2 single beds. He could see the disappointment on our faces and instead of simply informing us of the situation, he took it upon himself to find us an upgrade.
Deon kindly asked us to enjoy a quick drink whilst he searched for available options. We appreciated his willingness to help and took his advice. After our drink we returned to the reception and to our delight Deon was beaming with Joy having managed to secure us a room with a double bed.
From start to finish Deon made us feel welcome, valued and cared for during our stay. His commitment to excellent customer service truly made our experience memorable and because of his exceptional efforts that we will undoubtedly choose this hotel over others in the are on our future visits.
Thankyou for having such dedicated staff like Deon who go above and beyond for guests. We eagerly look forward to our next stay at the South Croydon Travelodge.

Dear Travelodge team. I would like to thank you for the warm pleasant stay.But I wouldn't of experienced this due to myself having issues booking online. So as I've turned up to Travelodge in South Croydon Deon was working at reception he greeted me with a nice warm welcome to Travelodge how can I help. Immediately I told him my situation with the booking online. And with no hesitations he got onto it straight away in such a professional way he had my room booked within a blink of an eye I was very pleased as Deon was also pleased. He got me a very good deal I couldn't thank Deon enough for his expertise and professionalism and once I was settled in my room Deon checked with me to make sure that the room was to my satisfactory immediately I said yes I am very pleased. Thank you for all your help. As Deon replied it's my pleasure if there's anything else I can do for you to make you stay more comfortable please don't hesitate to ask. As my stay was coming to an end I ask Deon for his assistants once again to help me book an extra stay. And Deon at Great haste wasted no time and before I could blink the room was booked due to this experience I would definitely use Travelodge at South Croydon again and it's all down to Deon being well-mannered and caring for his guests.Deon your the Best Thank you.

When I first got there I love to have a cup of tea however there was no sugar left by the house cleaners.| ||I went and spoke to Deon who was on duty at the time and he went and sorted that out right away and wanted to make sure I had a pleasant stay.||After receiving my sugar and some more tea bags I noticed there was no spoons to mix it with.|||I again spoke with Deon and he was still happy to help.|He was nice and friendly and made me feel OK for asking again for something.|||When I left that morning Deon was very polite saying good bye to me and my partner.|||I have stayed a few times here now and have always found the staff on the main desk pleasant.||The rooms are OK.|You get what you pay for

This was my first time staying at Travelodge South Croydon so I was unsure of what to expect. I need not have worried. From the moment I arrived until my check out I received exceptional customer service from all staff. Even though I had no requests or needed any assistance Alina made sure that should I require anything or need any help she would be most happy to help. All staff were very polite and positive in their approach from reception to house keeping. I usually stay in higher end hotels and whilst this may not be as luxurious, it is way ahead in terms of customer service. All staff are a credit to this company. I will be back!

Clean, comfy and super helpful staff - especially Sam! Would definitely come back. We needed a hairdryer and they went out of their way to find one for us. In addition, the staff were always on hand. South Croydon has lots of greenery near by and restaurants too!
