First ever Google review and only doing it because our service at this lovely hotel over the last week has been excellent. The prime suspect in our excellent service has to be Harry in the bar/restaurant. He pitches his banter just right for different customers so they are entertained, feel welcome but not offended. That's some balance. Food, drink and ambience was just right, and it's great to see the place busy in January. Will be back in August to enjoy a different side of Belton.

The staff were friendly and the rooms were standard for a 4 * hotel. The spa facilities were good. The pool was of a good length and the jacuzzi and saunas were great. The room was clean and comfortable. My wife liked the cooked breakfast. I had the continental breakfast which wasn't so good. The pastries lacked flavour and were dense and cold. The breakfast area overlooked the golf course which looked beautiful in the frost. We visited Grantham after which is worth a visit. The church and museum were very interesting.

We got an offer to upgrade from classic king to executive king, and it was worth it. Large room, clean bathroom, stocked mini fridge. The bar and restaurant were fine, but most of the tables were dirty with leftover glasses and plates, and I had to ask several times to get one cleaned so we could sit down. The breakfast choice wasn't great for continental breakfast. Dinner was fine. Lovely views of the golf grounds. Opposite the Belton National Trust site. The spa was fine, but the treatment didn't last 50 min.

We had a two night stay. The spa treatments were amazing, the hotel was lovely, and the staff were great.
But we were disappointed with the very limited vegan menu. It only covered two meals, I had the same lunch both days. The restaurant wouldn't do anything different for the second evening meal, so we ordered a takeaway from a local curry house, which was amazing.

Only a couple of small things, loved it was a Dog friendly hotel, but did see Dog poop in garden near car park, people please pick up if you take your furry friends, our Bath panel needed replacing, and a hole in bottom of Bathroom Door damaged from hitting the Door stop, clearly someone was heavy handed, other than them small things, it was amazing, and quality of breakfast was outstanding, and for a buffet breakfast it was hot!!!. So 100% 5 stars from us, we will be back.

Staying at the resort, we've been to the hotel bar and restaurant a few times. Every time, the service and food was excellent but one staff member deserves a shout out. Harry is a true professional. His banter is funny but totally appropriate; service again comes with humour but he tries to remember what you ordered and delivers excellence. The balance of banter with a customer is a skill; many try, most fail. Well done Harry! If you see him, give him a good slap on the back from us!||We also tried the spa too and the treatments were excellent and so was the January offer! Thank you Belton Woods!

Visited the Spa today and it was okay. And really that’s it. It was okay.
The treatment was very good so credit where it is due. However was this luxurious as quoted on the website no, it isn’t.
Some of the lockers didn’t work, the pool area was clean but not luxury in terms of relaxation both baby swimming and aqua arobics were in full swing. The steam room had a funny smell but both the steam & sauna rooms had clean seats. The “light lunch” was exactly that it was okay. Just sat down to lunch and fire alarm went off, waitress in the cafe said stay seated it’s a drill but after the alarm continued for a substantial amount of time we were asked to vacant in our robes! It was freezing. Waiting for my husband, sat quietly at the cafe table the waitress is cleaning the tables ( great I hear you say! However she sprays the table with no warning getting me wet with the contents of the bottle. No apology given. I’m always trying to be balanced, and like I say the treatment was lovely but, it wasn’t a luxury spa - it was a health centre offering extras and as a birthday treat I’m disappointed because we have those types of facilities down the road. I wouldn’t go back for this type of visit

Overall the NYE's package was very good. Lovely hotel, rooms and staff.||Nice pool, steam rooms & whirlpool.||||I have given a VG rating but if I were to include the communication I would mark it down! Reason being, the booking advised that the Classic Twin Room we booked was located on the Ground Floor. That wasn't the case when we checked in. We were given a room on the FF. I did query it but the guy who checked us in looked very quizzical. He did offer to look if he had a GF room, but we said we will go with what was being offered.||||Also, the package included H/B and was described as a 3 course dinner. That again was untrue because it was actually any courses up to the value of £32! Then if you had anything over that amount you paid the extra.||||Lastly, the pre-ordering for NYE's dinner was sent by a different email address (assume a 3rd party dealt with it), nearly deleted it thinking it was spam. This contained a link to a site to select each option per course, per guest. Only problem was that I didn't receive any confirmation email with the choices made, so several weeks after the booking we couldn't remember what we had ordered! Another couple on our table also said they experienced the same.
