Came here to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary and were not disappointed.

Staff were excellent and attentive, accommodation was lovely and the hotel is like a scene from Harry Potter.

We had an evening meal and breakfast, there evening meal was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing, breakfast was plentiful with a variety of choice.

Grounds are lovely and the parking can be paid for at the machine in the car park, or reception if you're staying.

I stayed here a couple of nights before Christmas due to working in the area.|What can I say, this place is beautiful. The building and gardens are amazing. Walk through the main door and it takes your breath away.|I stayed in room 170. Lovely big room, large comfortable double bed and a sofa bed too. Room takes you back in time too and is very well decorated. Bathroom is amazing. Room was nice a warm and very comfortable and clean, cleaning staff are very good. |All the staff bend over backwards to help you, nothing is to much trouble for them. |Bar is very reasonable in price. I only eat off the the bar menu at night and the burgers are very good.|Breakfast is very plentiful and a good choice. Breakfast staff very helpful especially who I think is clearly the supervisor. She was lovely.|The grounds are very well kept what I saw of them.|A very lovely hotel where staff go that extra mile right from management, reception staff to the lovely cleaning and breakfast staff.|Well worth a visit and will be returning soon then again throughout the year with my wife.|Thank you for a great few days and look forward to returning very soon.

Our family got together for a Christmas meal in the Walnut room and it was spectacular! |All the communication with staff prior to the event was informative and quick. |Together we chose a delicious menu to suit all the dietary requirements of our group of 26 people.|The venue was decorated beautifully and really created the wow factor for everyone.|We had our own dining room which was perfect and meant we could get up and mingle without disturbing other diners.|The service was incredible and there was always someone available to tend to our every need. |The table decorations and the room were spectacular and little touches such as the crackers and boxes with party poppers made it extra special.|All the food was delicious and everyone enjoyed it. |A memorable day provided by Coombe Abbey for a really reasonable price.|Thank you everyone.

We have just come back from the Christmas afternoon tea with Carols and had the best day! We will absolutely be doing this again next year. The venue was lovely (albeit very hot), afternoon tea was lovely, plenty of staff around to fill up tea’s & coffee’s. Bar available for extra drinks including mulled wine. The singers were FAB, they all sang beautifully. Traditional carols + more modern songs were sang. You can join in if you want but there is no pressure. Event started at 12.30, Carols started around 1 and had a 15 min break, finishing at 3. The whole event felt so Christmassy & magical, loved it!

The idea behind a venue like this is great but it’s more of accommodation space for the events that happen on the day, rather than a historic stay. the room we stayed in was not in the original building but when we booked we were told we were going to have a view of the moat. There are no commons spaces except the lobby and drafts, and when it’s busy there is no space and can be quite noisy.

But rooms were clean, and warm. The shower did not drain and you would end up standing in ankle deep water. The pillows were also very very uncomfortable and the green security light lit up the whole room at night making it hard to sleep.

Sufficient choice at breakfast but felt a little disorganised.

Spent one night for our anniversary and was underwhelmed when arrived to find place rammed with a wedding and convention and birthday bash plus usual daily footfall.
Check in was simple via kiosk and avoided the cue at reception.
Room was lovely and clean and spacious and the restaurant was nice with great service and quality.
We had soft drinks and e courses came to 135 so not to pricy but worth it for quality and service.
Hotel is a magical space and having grown up in the area was nice to stay there.

2rd Beautiful Christmas Stay! We have been coming every year for the last 4/5 to do the laminate light trail on the grounds, we decided to start staying a couple of years ago after going inside the hotel after for drinks, the Christmas atmosphere of this hotel is UNMATCHED, between the decorations, santa! And the Christmas carols are a beautiful place. The staff are always super helpful and always go above and beyond, the upgrade bidding is on of my favorite little extras you can add on if you're lucky (I have been both years I've done it)|The rooms are always exquisite. We have only ever stayed in the grand feature rooms after winning our bids. The Lindley and William Wind are beautiful rooms! Both stunning and fun for the bathrooms to be such a feature in the rooms, I love it. I literally can't fault the hotel at all it is one of my favourites in the UK.|The breakfast is also another thing I love, the full cooked and continental buffet has all the making for a full English or something lighter which is nice, you can also as far as I'm aware go up as much as you want so that's also nice if there is something you really liked! The breakfast staff are also lovely, always wanting to bring tea or coffee, and very efficient when clearing up used cups and plates, all young and very nice|Overal, I CANT WAIT TO COME BACK NEXT YEAR! ❤️

Wonderful location and hotel. Unfortunately the room was given to us was really noisy ( kitchen extractor fan was making a tremendous noise and vibration) . From breakfast buffet was constantly missing stuff and you have to ask to refill.
