Booked last minute in the morning for that night. The "small double", room 4, was great for me.
Staff lovely, and had a great evening meal in the bar.
Breakfast was individually cooked and really tasty.
Great traditional Inn. Very friendly. Good food.
My room was spotless and very comfortable. Some soap/shampoo for the shower would be the only thing needed to make it perfect.

We had an overnight stay here with our motorhome in the car park, which they allow when purchasing food/drinks from the pub. Its a 15 min walk into town and to the castle which was great but it's also on the bus route if you are not up for this. We had drinks in the evening and then an amazing breakfast in the morning. The quality was great and great value for money. Staff were all really friendly. would recommend.

Came in at 10.50am when they finished serving breakfast at 11am but they still accommodated our party of 7. Reasonably priced not a bad breakfast hopeful to come back in at a better time to get the full experience. Dog friendly

We were attending a wedding nearby so stayed here overnight.
When we arrived the check in staff were so friendly and we had food and drinks in the pub, again great service and reasonably priced food and drink.
The mac and cheese was outstanding 👌🏼
Comfortable, clean room and breakfast included

The staff go out of their way to help you have a good experience and are very nice people. The room had 4 usb points which I have not seen in other hotels. Very comfortable beds. There was a fan in the room and was very quiet. It even had 3 chairs to sit on. It is in walking distance to the centre of town. The breakfast had full English, including cereal, also. Lunch and dinner are also served here. Would recommend this to anyone and would go here again
