Wow....what a wonderful find. |We stayed here on our way back from Scotland, before finishing our journey back to Wales. |A beautiful building steeped in history set on beautiful grounds.|We were in Rooms 2, 3 and 5...and all of us were blown away by the decor, style and size of each room...stunning. |We knew we were not going to make the 9.30pm check in, and when we called with our eta, the Manager was understanding, helpful and assured us that to be no problem. His welcome was warm and friendly. |Super comfy beds...the perfect stop gap to break up our long journey.|We have already decided to visit again on the future, and will be booking direct for a better deal.|Thank you for your hospitality

Had a lovely few days at Hedgefield House visiting friends in the area.||Checkin was super quick and friendly, and my room was lovely and spacious with a nice view into the courtyard. The area itself is pleasant and there are a few walkable places to get food and drink. The property is also super clean, and nice & airy. ||Whilst it wasn’t a problem for me, the bathroom for the room I stayed in wasn’t attached to the room but was across a corridor.

Beautiful And lovely to see how the owners have Made the place full of joy.
The gentleman was lovely, thoughtful who met with us and was service with a smile, felt comfortable and our Room was extremely spacious and everything we needed for the night.

Had a lovely overnight stop here whilst dropping my niece off at Durham Uni. Hedgefield House is stunning inside and out, such a shame we were only here for a quick stop off. David was so helpful and friendly and everything we needed was provided. I had the best nights sleep I've had in a very long time. We would definitely revisit and highly recommend

For a first night stay, it's quiet. The location is beautiful and rooms are quite spacious.

Only pointers are: bathroom is shared and shops are around a 20 minute walk so transportation is definitely recommended or stock up before you go!!

The noise is here pretty quiet, aside from guests creaking around (as any hotel out there), you can easily get to sleep hearing sounds of nature as the building is tucked away from the road!

Overall yeah, I'd definitely stay again for the price and environment. Beautiful area with friendly people - 5 stars

I have used this lovely little place several times, I live out of the area but stay regularly to help with early morning appointments for my dad. David is a lovely host always quick responding to email enquiries, the rooms are comfy, well stocked and most of all very clean. Forgot the big hotels, choose this beautiful house in lovely grounds set back from the busy road and enjoy a peaceful night in comfy surroundings.

Marvellous one night stay at Hedgefield house. We stayed In room 4 which was very peaceful with a lovely view of the gardens. Good bathroom, comfy bed, great tea and coffee making facilities. Very peaceful place which made for a wonderful nights sleep. Thank you to David who was helpful and friendly. Would stay again.
