The hotel looks really impressive from the outside. Inside the style is a little dated in some places but this was outweighed by the attentive staff and great overall experience. The attic room I stayed in was ideal for a one night stop. The bed was comfortable, the room was spotless. And the rainfall shower was perfect. There was a good choice for breakfast, friendly helpful waiting staff and I appreciated being served a full pot of proper coffee. This was a convenient place to stop en route up north. One piece of advice - park in the middle of the car park away from the overhanging trees if you can to avoid a bird poo covered car in the morning.

When you drive up to the Hotel you cannot help but be impressed by the Grandeur of the exterior. Then it all starts to go somewhat downhill. The grounds are lovely but he garden tables are all dirty and in need of repair. The interior is pleasingly old fashioned with wood panelled walls and leather settees but I do not need to hear the girl behind the bar bemoaning the fact that she had to work an extra hour!|Now to my room.....all the windows had paint flaking from the frames, the bed was very uncomfortable, the bathroom had a shower over the bath where the ceiling was covered with black mould. The bathroom also had a wall mounted extractor which randomly came on throughout the night. I felt unsafe trying to take a shower as there is no handrail etc. to assist with getting into the bath to access the shower. I guess this is fine if you have not had two major knee surgeries but for those like me then it was difficult. We ate in the Restaurant and apart from a very burnt burger bun it was acceptable. Breakfast was the usual fayre and staff at breakfast were very pleasant and helpful. However would it be too much to ask for the juices to be chilled? Warm orange juice at 7 in the morning is not great. With some money spent and a bit of staff training this hotel could be brilliant but at the moment it falls short of a pleasant stay.

Everything was as expected. Very friendly staff, ample car parking, bar food was very filling, comfortable bed, clean room. Breakfast was excellent and hot with a variety of hot and cold food. We were visiting for an Abba tribute band and it was great. A nice mix of young and old, male and female. No waiting for drinks at the bar.

Spent 3 nights here recently. Lovely helpful staff everywhere. Good food. Very comfy bed.|Good beer. Clean hotel great breakfast. Hotel had some lovely old features. Wood panelling and front door look amazing.||Nice rooms, great shower. |Recommend to all.

Visited the new Stone & Ivy restaurant in the hotel for my husbands birthday. One of the most pleasant and tasty meals we have had in a long time in the local area! Don't wait on visiting this place the food was very good and reasonably priced (definitely give the mutton wellington a try it was incredible, I managed to get a bite off my husbands plate!). Service was really good, the manager of the restaurant was lovely to talk to and while this may be a new venture you can tell this will be something amazing! (Cocktails please! ?)

Sunday lunch|I booked a table at the new restaurant at Weston Hall and I was not disappointed at all. The environment was quiet and relaxed and the staff were charming and friendly. We had the Sunday lunch which was a little expensive but worth the money. We opted for the pork which was accompanied by yorkshire pudding, veg and roast potatoes, carrots and parsnips. We ordered the side of cauliflower cheese and cheesey mash. All the food we had was delicious and there was plenty. We also enjoyed a desert each and left the restaurant feeling extremely full to bursting. We will definitely be eating there again in the near future and my advice to the hotel is keep the chef because he/she is an amazing cook.

Held our golden wedding anniversary in the Dubarry room and it was excellent. From the day we booked to the actual night of the 3 course dinner the service was second to none. Would recommend the hotel to anyone booking a celebratory event. We were very well looked after.

Beautiful hotel, everyone was very welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious, clean and exactly like the pictures. Great breakfast included in the room price, fantastic selection of food, something for everyone. Also had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious and great value for money. Would highly recommend staying here!
