A large, well presented, warm, clean room which served our purpose for a one night stay, however it was let down by a number of small details. |As this was a 1 night stay, I thought I’d not take toiletries with me and use those in the room. There were none except handwash. Not even a tooth brush cup. Fittings missing from bathroom inc. toilet roll holder. Also bathroom door wouldn’t close properly. |Not the fault of the owner, and I hope it won’t be your experience, but we had unaccompanied children in the next room who were making a lot of noise until well after 11pm ( I think adults were in the pub next door). |Also, please note, this accommodation is no longer associated with The Bay Horse Inn and there is no breakfast provision.

Stayed here for a few nights due to exploring the North East. ||Found it a great base, free and ample parking available with great bus links. | Onsite pub does great food.||Rooms were clean with a comfortable bed. Found it very peaceful at night although not many rooms were occupied.

Brilliant cottages for breaks away But however being shared cottages means some noise from neighbours who have been at the pub lol and more so after a while is the busy road junction noise which becomes irritating 👊

Great little self catering unit, compact, comfortable and convenient for Durham and environs. Owner responded very quickly to a couple of questions. It does have Wifi and the kitchen is well equipped.
