Let's just say that this hotel was as terrible as we expected it to be based on the reviews. We were woken in the night at 1am by a strange man with no ID demanding to come in the room the check the fire alarm. Everything is broken, the security doors, the windows, the lights, the bathroom fan. The mattress was so soft we were both rolling together in the night. I felt bad for the staff who were trying to make th best of a bad situation. Breakfast was inedible, uncooked hash browns, cheap cold sausage. Food everywhere, no butter. We gave up and went out. The only other guests were homeless people presumably housed there by the council. If you're a woman on you're own, I don't think it would be safe to stay here.

Stayed here for one night with work. Worst travel lodge I stayed in. The girl on reception was rude. Straight away. Room was clean but bathroom had rust marks in shower. There was iron mark carpet. Bed was to low to ground. Room location right side load bay. So after asking the girl on reception are they getting deliveries throughout the night was told no. 4am guess wat bang bang bang. Delivery.
No spoons with drinks facilities. One wooden stick.
Ask for food at 725pm no food. In cafe. This information was not given Wen book in.
Oh Wen checking in be prepared to give card details because they want a card on file just in case U damage something. My advice when U go into take a video of the room.
Definitely not staying here again

Our room was in the lower ground floor and it was delivered to us clean and tidy. The only problem was that at first night it was very cold but when we put the heater on Max it got warmer. The area is near city center and up to 5 PM it is safe and good but do not recommend to go out at night to city center at all it is like a ghost town and full of beggars and drunk people. The hotel itself is good but avoid the city center around it at nights.

From check in we didn’t have a good experience, nowhere to park, the hotel has a tiny carpark with 2 disabled spaces that couldn’t be accessed because people had abandoned their cars.

2 young women on the desk were literally the rudest staff we’d ever dealt with, didn’t greet us as we walked in, snapped at us for trying to put our number plate in while we were waiting for them to acknowledge us, spoke into the screen so we couldn’t hear what she said when one of them did speak to us, told her the name of the booking & she demanded a debit card to keep on file without explaining what it was for or anything, this made me really uncomfortable, I stay in hotels all the time and have never had a card taken on file. Didn’t tell us a checkout time, where to go for breakfast, the whole conversation she didn’t even look us in the eye, we were baffled by the service.

Room was standard & basic, what you expect for a budget hotel however, it was absolutely freezing in there, the small space heater in the room didn’t work so couldn’t change the temperature, also the windows don’t shut properly so there’s cold air being let in there & also it’s incredibly noisy due to the windows not shutting.

Horrendous uncomfortable bed, literally felt like it was made of cardboard, our friends were staying in another room & their mattress was comfortable so not sure why some of their mattresses are terrible and some are good.

To end the stay, wanted to grab some breakfast before we drove home, check out was 10am, got to breakfast at 10:05am, buffet was being packed up & we were told they weren’t servicing anymore, we really couldn’t understand why they would have a cheat out time at 10am & then not have breakfast open until say 10:30am so you can eat after you’ve checked out, made no sense.

Clean room, but dip in mattress. Toilet didn't flush properly. No food available due to staff shortages, however reception, bar 24 hours. As leaving other residents complaining about noise

The location was ideal for what I needed..... Close to the town centre, railway and other public transport links. I found the room to be spacious, clean and well kept although my only niggle was that the mattress could have been firmer. But that is just opinion. The staff on site were all friendly and had good knowledge of the local area

Well located. Room was more than adequate, if basic. Noisy location with road noise an issue all night. Squishy double bed offered minimal support for one person. I would not want to share it! Awful breakfast; best avoided.

We stayed here for one night to attend an event. On site car park which you pay £5 for. Felt safe. We had a room on - 1 floor. Room was okay bed was comfortable. I did bring my own pillow after reading reviews that you only get one thin pillow. It was clean enough it wasn't spotless we spotted a few unknown hairs and stains but that's not something that bothered us that much. Shower was good. Staff were helpful at front desk. Quite loud throughout the night but it was a Saturday. Overall I feel this hotel gets too much negativity it isn't that bad and for the price it's a cheap stay.
