From the first moment we stepped into the Mount, during our search for a wedding venue, we both knew it was the one. |One of our first impressions was the stunning great hall, with its absolutely beautiful ceiling, which fit perfectly with our Harry Potter theme. Just as impressive was the warm welcome and hospitality shown by all the staff. Once we booked, communication was amazing and staff were always available and helpful during our planning process. This ensured the lead up to our big day was worry free. |Our wedding day was simply incredible, all the staff ensured that the day ran to plan, the guests were looked after fabulously, food and drink was plentiful and stunning and nothing was too much trouble. Many of our guests have complemented us on our choice of venue and told us it was one of the best weddings they had been to. |We can’t thank the staff enough for the enthusiasm they showed for our wedding. Special thanks to Gemma for ensuring the planning ran smoothly and for helping on the actual day of the wedding, and to Sarah and Neil for how well the day went. However, we would like to stress that all the staff were brilliant including the front desk, bar and servers. We would highly recommend the Mount as a wedding venue.

As our 'local' we often walk down to the Mount for a drink and a bite - it's comfortable and quiet, especially good in summer sitting outside in the extensive garden. We had our wedding here and for the last three years have been to the Christmas Eve afternoon tea where we experienced the very best Santa ever! What a great bloke. Sparked with adults and children alike. In December last year we took the family to the Sunday Christmas lunch with Santa which was enjoyed by everyone. Thank you Mount!

New Years Eve gala. |We stayed in the courtyard, unfortunately our room had been booked for upstairs . Our fault completely for not stating we needed downstairs. The girls in the reception were amazing . Immediately changed to a downstairs room . The courtyard rooms are truly fantastic. The only improvement would be the addition of a safe . Maybe something to think about ? |The gala dinner , there are Coeliacs in our party so by choice ( for safety) we all eat gluten free on the night . We were given our own plate of horderves . The meal itself was delicious and totally safe , again just a little point I do enjoy neeps and tatties at New Year. Maybe pop them in for next year? |The staff were so efficient and pleasant , please pass on our thanks to them for their hard work . |Another fabulous visit to the Hotel, hopefully see you next year .

Christmas lunch was excellent. The food was plentiful, delicious and well- presented. The staff, particularly Jackie, were attentive but gave us time to enjoy our meal. For example, they offered us a pause between courses. One of our party is a wheelchair user and she was made very welcome. The layout of the Drawing Room meant we had plenty of space and did not feel crowded. Altogether, a lovely experience.

The food was plentiful and of excellent quality, we could not fault the waitress service. The drawing room was spacious and we were comfortably seated. Each course was served to our requirements we never felt rushed. The ambiance was wonderful and the experience surpassed our expectations. We will definitely book again. Me,my husband and my father in law attended the new years eve gala and it was a fabulous experience. All the staff are so attentive and lovely. Food was amazing. |We also had our wedding here back in 2019 and it's nice to see the place is still as beautiful.

Perfect stay for us, we were attending a conference in Wolverhampton centre and chose this hotel as opposed to one in the city. It didn’t disappoint, staff were all pleasant, rooms very clean and well equipped (tea/coffee/kettle and proper mugs 😊).

Breakfast on both days was delicious.

Exceptionally quiet at night too.

Would definitely return.

If it were possible to give six stars, I would have done so. We held my Dad's 100th birthday party at the Mount, and everything was perfect. The food was delicious, the staff efficient and friendly, the pre-event organisers helpful and professional, and the management resolved all minor practical issues, such as providing high chairs, and easels for signboards. |A particular thank you to Gemma, Sabrina and Lynne, who were all fantastic. |Many of the guests stayed in the hotel and everyone was complimentary about the rooms, the food and the ambiance. ||By way of a footnote, the new AI produced summary at the beginning of the Tripadvisor entry for the Mount is way off - the hotel gives very good value for money, the meals appropriately priced, the rooms comfortable. That other people agree can be seen from the fact that the hotel scores 4.5 overall after over 1500 reviews! I was quite saddened to see this unbalanced summary.
