Cannot say anything bad about this lovely establishment. It is less than 10 minutes walk to the town, parking outside and very quiet position. The whole place is spotless; the room was so cosy and warm and the beds were so comfy. Good sized ensuite shower with toiletries thoughtfully provided. Jan and her husband are so lovely and helped us with our luggage. Breakfast was just amazing. We will be back.

Fantastic place in a quiet street away from the centre of Alnwick but within easy walking distance. Clean, spacious bedroom with all you need; nice original features with tasteful, modern decorations and loads of storage for those who get around to unpacking! Lovely cooked breakfast and Jan is really friendly and helpful. Don't be put off by the on street parking- we easily got a space right outside and the neighbours around and about seemed friendly too. Great value and would definitely recommend it!

We stayed at the Beaconsfield for three nights in early June, arriving at nearby Alnmouth by train and then as a base to visit Alnwick Garden and town, and various places along the lovely coastline from Amble in the south up to Bamburgh in the north, using the local buses. The Beaconsfield is in a quiet street about 5 (character-building uphill!) minutes' walk from the town centre. Jan the owner could not have been more helpful or welcoming, the room was lovely, spacious and spotlessly clean and the breakfast each morning was wonderful. Excellent value for money and a real home from home. Recommended.

This delightful Bed and Breakfast is within an easy walk to the centre of Alnwick and the castle. Friendly owners and clean comfortable rooms with a hint of poppies decorating the walls. We had a lovely stay and would certainly return . It had everything you expect in a Bed and Breakfast.

We had a very warm welcome and the room was spotless and spacious. Jan was very helpful with where to eat at night and directions into town. Breakfast was wonderful. I even had a cooked breakfast which I don't usually have. Thoroughly recommend and will defineately stay again.

Excellent traditional bed and breakfast...super clean, very comfy beds, good linen, good breakfast and lovely accommodating hosts. Its only a short walk to town but its quiet...and on street parking was easy.....do the hosts the favour of booking by phone as then they get all of a very reasonable rate x

This nice B&B is located in a strategic position, on a quiet street just a short walk from Alnwick town center and the famous castle.||The rooms are pretty and the mattresses, really comfortable, ensure a good rest!||The hostess, Jan, is friendly and discreet and makes you feel really at home.

Just got back from a long weekend here and would definitely go back. Really clean, nice room, comfy bed, excellent breakfast, lovely landlady, short walk into town, and about 50yrds from the best real ale pub in town (The John Bull).
