The lodge was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. The location is quiet and scenic, offering a great escape into nature. Bill, the host, made sure everything went smoothly. The cabin was comfortable and well-kept, with everything we needed for a hassle-free stay. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to unwind in a peaceful setting.

Wow what a place ! Location was perfect for local villages and walks with the dog/family. The lodge is designed / manufacture from high quality material and it feels like it. To me it felt like something from Grand Designs ! The kids loved the hot tub and we used the BBQ for evening meals. The owners made us feel welcome and at home. I also drive a EV and super chargers are only 10mins away or other chargers approx 10-15 mins drive. We will be going back without the kids for a relaxing weekend as it's perfect for a quiet weekend.

Really enjoyed our stay. Some breakfast items (pastries, biscuits) were left for us to enjoy. Towels ready on the beds. Also took our dog with us who loved it here. Perfect location. Next to a main road but you would never know it

Great weekend break. Beautiful location slongvthe river, so peaceful. The hot tub a very welcome after a day out and about. Perfect for exploring the surrounding areas and to chill and relax when you want.|Sofas not very comfy- but everything else - perfect.

REVIEW FOR END LODGE |NEGATIVES |- It shouldn’t be called whispering water ‘lodges’, it wasn’t made out of logs but we knew that anyway. It’s just a wooden cabin |- bedroom shower way too small, the shower didn’t close so leaked water everywhere tray|- mold in both bathrooms near shower|- Wi-Fi absolutely shocking, doesn’t work hardly, so don’t bother using Netflix. We used 4G most the time|- Both sinks so small it’s impossible to brush teeth properly. |- hot tub is old and water was already murky when we got here |- smoke went all over room when first used log fire, it came out the back filled the room with smoke and triggered my asthma. |- no logs left for us on arrival |- one of the sofas is so tiny it’s uncomfortable|- not disabled friendly |- No obvious sign on arrival so drove right past it! |- not suitable for very young kids due to fire being so hot. Would say it’s for kids 5+ yrs. Could do with fire guard around it. |- the ‘lodge’ in general needs a lot of work on it||POSITIVES |- lovely to hear the river flowing|- Croissants on arrival|- Beds comfy |- Accepts dogs |- Log fire |- Love the glass all at the front |- Huge warm fluffy towels provided ||Sadly though we wouldn’t come back…

Had four days in the heron cabin this week,
Bill was there to greet us,
He's very nice guy who made you feel comfortable if you should need to contact him for any reason, we didn't as he had prepared everything perfectly before arrival.

Clean with a cosy view of the river.

Hot tub was clean and bill had clearly inspected it before our arrival.

Log burner was good fun but the cabin must be very well insulated as you couldn't keep it on all evening it just got to warm.

Couldn't have been happier with the time we spent there.

Highly recommend people to check it out
We are Looking forward to booking again in the future.

Great stay at Whispering Water Lodges, Bill was great and ensured we had everything we needed. Lodge is spacious, clean and has everything you need for a short break. The welcome package was highly appreciated, a bottle of bubbly never goes a miss! Location is great, so peaceful and quiet with small towns near by should you wish to explore. We would definitely recommend and return again.
