Came for the weekend five of us for my sisters birthday, Mary so accomodating and had amazing treatments and use of the hottub. Can't fault the welcome we received, we all really enjoyed ourselves.

We have just spent 2 nights at Achill House October 2024,myself and husband in a double room and our daughter with 3 young children in the family room. We were made most welcome. The rooms were very comfortable and met our needs very nicely. Mary has thought about peoples needs and provides lots of ameneties and extras. We sat in a booth in the garden one night and in the lounge another night,very pleasant. I looked round the spa areas and thought they were very special. Next time i think i will book a treatment.Parking is free,also wifi. We had breakfast at The Wilsons just round the corner. Quite a good deal as we had children eat for £1 each,used at breakfast and evening meal. Beware though- adult breakfast £6.99 but coffee is another£2.50 each (bottomless). We will certainly go again in the future.Thanks Mary and staff.

A small property in amongst other residential houses. This is both a spa and a medium spaced hire facility and we hired it for Sunday afternoon tea. Lots of sheltered booth's outside and some open space too. There is also a hot tub, we didn't use it so it would be unfair to comment on it. The staff are very friendly, warm, professional, knowledgeable, discreet and amenable. The food was fresh, top quality and plenty of it, all dietary needs were asked about and met. The tea and coffee was excellent with both normal and decaffeinated served, a selection of alcohol is also available. The premises is spotlessly clean and tidy as is the toilet, considering there was a child's party before us, you would never of known. There are two parking spaces in front of the main door but plenty curbside parking. We had an excellent experience and fully recommend the experience. We will use it again.

My nails have chipped less than a week in. I wasn’t impressed that not professional nail equipment was used. The polishes can be shop bought by anyone so was shocked that it was £30 when you can get a professional service elsewhere for that price.

Upon arrival easy to find, just off the main road through the town, has a stone drive way with 4 spaces available outside for free parking, if these are full there is a large lay-by opposite, ||The first impression is this is quite a small property, but it does go back a long way when inside, the outside looks a little dated but in good condition, when inside the lobby is well decorated and very modern,||There is a huge modern looking spa in what I imagine used to be the lounge with extensive extension work done on the bottom floor, ||We were met by “Laura” and every friendly bubbly personable young lady, who showed us to the room, the key was in the door ready to go,||Walking into the room boom it was quite large with a huge super king bed and a single bed, nicely decorated and welcoming, |- BED: very comfortable, good quality bedding and choice of firm or soft pillows||- TV: smart tv connected to the WiFi, very slow but hey I wasn’t here for tv I was here for sleep and an event in the close by city ||- Bathroom: Clean and in good repair, bath tub has party lights around it so you can rave whilst having a soak, this amused my 6 year old greatly ||- The window in the bathroom had a broken lock so wouldn’t close, this didn’t bother us as it was hot so we had them open anyway, but if it was winter it could’ve been an issue ||- NOISE: so the only bad point we had was a very noisy neighbour being loud til late and up early again, nothing the B&B can do really as sound proofing an older building is near impossible ||- BREAKFAST - no breakfast||Check out was easy as we had prepaid we just left the key in the door and left. ||Spa: they have a spa on site you can book into with a discount as staying guest, we were going to book but it was a “Mother and daughter” package and I was a “Father and daughter”||So wasn’t sure if we could or whether males could book Treatments so didn’t want to pre book and pay for a treatment that wasn’t possible!||All in all we will Happily return for the next event in Birmingham

Very pleasant , clean and comfortable room for my overnight stay. And only a short 5 minute walk from the shops, bars, and restaurants of Knowle. Would happily stay again if in the area

We had our daughter’s 7th birthday party at Achill Spa this afternoon and it was just wonderful. From start to finish the team made everyone feel welcome, nothing was too much trouble. My daughter shared her party with another child from her class and Achill Spa made both the girls top priority, making sure all their friends were entertained and each of their personal needs were met ie, dietary requirements, any allergies and health conditions. These ladies are worth their weight in gold as I was able to sit back and relax, chat to other parents and just enjoy my daughter’s special afternoon. She had a smile from ear to ear all afternoon!!! Loved the cute relaxing eye masks and the choice of nail varnishes!! The children’s afternoon tea was so lovely and plenty of it!! Parents enjoyed the left overs as much as the children enjoyed the choice of delicious foods. Thank you to all the staff that made our girls party just perfect!!

Unfortunately we didn’t have a good experience at this hotel although our host was a lovely lady the hotel was shabby`,our room was dusty my friends bed had bits and some kind of heart shaped sprinkles in it as well as foot prints on the quilt so wasn’t convinced they were clean bed sheets.
Out toilet had the remains of faeces on the inside bowl as well as the back of the seat.
It is in desperate need of a refurb .
