My friend and I have made annual visits to Middleton House for several years to attend an event at the Bath and West Showground. We returned in July and once again, we had an excellent stay. Gill and Kevin are truly fabulous hosts and both go out of their way to ensure the needs of guests are met. Kevin made a special effort to ensure my gluten free/dairy free needs were properly met and that I was happy with the food & drink I had for breakfast. He made me a lovely bowl of porridge every day!|Gill goes above and beyond to ensure the rooms are clean and comfortable and also at the breakfast table when she brings the food out from the kitchen.|Middleton House is home from home for us and we look forward to returning in Summer 25!

We have just returned from another stay with Gill and Kevin at this lovely, comfortable bed and breakfast. Gill gave us a warm welcome and, after unpacking ,we had a nice chat with her while enjoying homemade scones and tea. . Our room was spotlessly clean, we had everything we needed and the hostess tray had a large selection of tea, coffee, biscuits and Gills homemade flapjacks. Milk is kept in a fridge on the landing. Sanitising is still a feature there for guests protection. After a good nights sleep we were ready for breakfast. There was an excellent choice of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, juice, porridge and this was followed by a selection of cooked breakfasts perfectly made by Kevin. Gill was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We went for a celebratory anniversary weekend and Gill and Kevin did everything they could to ensure it was perfect.

I have stayed at this marvelous B&B many times & the service is always top notch. Gill is front of house always eager to assist & Kev is the fabulous cook who furnishes us with a fabulous breakfast as well as a fantastic Sunday evening meal. For breakfast there is a good choice of options and I'm never disappointed with the cooked breakfast & the quality of the cafetiere coffee. |Rooms are very clean & have all the facilities you require with a selection of teas, coffees, biscuits & water. There's also a small fridge on the landing for Gill to provide fresh milk daily & a location for your cans or bottles to be chilled. I always have the same room which is spacious and the bed is large and very comfortable. Extra blankets & pillows are also provided. |With my fluctuating work start times Gill & Kevin are only to pleased to accommodate my requests for different breakfast start times.||See you again in November||Thanks again to Gill & Kev who are just wonderful hosts.

Why would you stay anywhere else for a B&B in Shepton Mallett. Great welcome, very friendly hosts. Quiet location with amazing views on the edge of the town. Clean, comfortable, well equipped rooms. En suite shower / bathroom. Drink making facilities with an amazing selection of teas and coffee plus a selection of goodies. Everything you can think of on offer for breakfast - at a time of your choice. It's the best B&B I have ever stayed in and why I return when I am in the area.

My friend and I had a wonderful time staying here in July. The welcome was great and Gill and Kevin went out of the way to make us feel comfortable. We were even offered a choice of 3 different tog weights of duvets! I enjoyed the fully English breakfast every morning. I would recommend this place highly.

Wonderful welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Very comfortable room and everything was neat and clean. Huge choice for breakfast including several fresh fruits. My hosts chatted easily with me and after a day they seemed just like friends! I will return without doubt.

Middleton House is EVERYTHING you'd want in a B&B. Free parking;a warm welcome; a spotlessly clean,beautifully decorated room (and ours had a view over fields.) A very comprehensive hospitality tray with a large selection of teas, quality biscuits, home made flapjacks and fresh milk in the fridge on the landing. |The bed was SO comfortable.|There was a plentiful choice at breakfast with locally sourced products and, important for me, the fresh coffee was strong and delicious!|Special dietary requirements are catered for as long as you let them know in advance and nothing is too much trouble.|This was our first visit and we will certainly be returning.

I have stayed at Middleton on many occasions, and it is a truly lovely, friendly and professionally run B and B. Ideally located in a semi rural 'peaceful' location. The hosts are so helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Bedrooms are spotlessly clean and offer many little extras, toiletries, and even home made flap jacks!! Beds are very comfortable, and my goodness what a choice there is for breakfast
