Our chosen place for starting out for an evening in Cottingham, something we or I should say haven't done for many many years.
As expected of a pub in prime location of Cottingham green and early evening it was already very busy with a warm inviting atmosphere. As there were 4 of us we were lucky to find a table and seats.
A pint of Shipyard always gets a 👍 from me!
I found on my visit to the toilets that the pub is a warren of rooms and annexes and beer garden I didn't even know where there! I was lucky to find my way back to our table! 😂
Staff were very friendly, a great start to our evening.

Pleasant place. Friendly staff. Looks nice and clean. Decent beer but a bit pricey. Service good for food although we didn't try it. Clientele are friendly. Good clean toilets. Parking nearby. Decent beer garden.

Went for an evening meal. Plenty of choice, and an option of smaller plates for smaller appetites. I had a small carvery... and couldn't finish it!! Plenty of veg, and gammon that was thickly sliced. And not a pea in sight!!

Family 80th birthday. Food was more than expected and have to admit too many vegetables for me to finish my main which was the Sunday roast. Rest of party mainly had the fish and chips and one the curry option. All empty plates, apart from the two Sunday roasts. Same feedback from. The other person for that too. Enjoy your portions!

Great food the pie n chips are some of the best ive had, great service, and a super friendly pub from the staff to the local punters, it is also very dog friendly and the price is very reasonable👍. Best pub in cott.
