I went to see James as I had a trapped nerve problem with numbness in my leg and no strength, as well as being in a lot of pain. After initial assessment, James took the time to explain exactly what the issue was and how it was causing all of these problems. He conducted a range of treatments and massages to help the issue and also demonstrated a number of stretches to do on a daily basis. As James is located at Your Next Level Fitness who I am a member of, he then took me to some of the equipment to show me what gym exercises I could do so help increase the strength in my leg. The recovery was amazing with the pain disappearing in a matter of days, the numbness reducing far quicker and now working on getting the strength back which is well on its way. I know Sciatica problems are very common and can last a long time, but James definitely has the solution. As an addition, we also discussed my IT Band Syndrome which affects my hip and knee, which he immediately had a solution for with once again demonstrations of stretches and exercises to promote prevention and not cure. Since then, I’ve not felt it one bit!

James was very knowledgeable and talked me through what the massage would achieve, looking at muscle groups on a diagram and then proceeding to work out the knots in my shoulders.

I would 100% recommend James and his sports massages. As someone with a sedentary job, I didn't realise how much tension you can carry in your shoulders from sitting awkwardly until having the massage, and how free you will feel afterwards.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST. I have tried many massage places and I can confidently say that James is the best. He is very responsive with booking appointments and is very friendly. He really tries to help relieve any pain you have while providing education about what could be causing it. The massage room is very clean and tidy. I guarantee you will walk out feeling way better.

I found James by searching for a local sports masseur that was convenient for me to get to as I’d been suffering significant neck and shoulder pain for a while that was just worsening. I’m so glad I chose him. I was nervous at our first meeting but he quickly put me at ease. He was friendly and very professional, showing himself to be very knowledgeable in his field. He conducted a thorough assessment of the problem and considered what the route cause could be, suggesting various preventative strategies. His massage was very successful in alleviating my pain and after our second appointment he went through some exercises to help me stretch and loosen up the problem area. I’ve seen him twice now and each time I’ve seen him I’m pain free for longer, he’s a miracle worker given where I started from. His massages are highly effective with quick results. The exercises he gave me are hugely helpful and the rooms are spotless, very clean, with attention paid to hygiene and sanitisation. I can’t recommend James enough.
