πŸ₯– The MUST Visit Bakery in Cowes βš“οΈ

The quaint charm of The Lost Mill Bakery left us with no choice but to give this humble bakery on the main high street of Cowes a go, and my goodness was it a decision that did not disappoint. 🀩

Fresh produce cooked daily, this humble bakery had a vast array of both savoury and sweet treats at a great price and a quality to die for! Both traditional baked goods as well as exiting fresh spins on classics are all available!

As a proud Devonian I can honestly say the Lost Mill Traditional Pasty is the best I have ever had! A title not to be taken lightly! 🌟

Cannot wait for my next visit to try out more!

🌟 Recommendations: Traditional Cornish Pasty, Bacon Ciabatta

⛔️ Drawbacks: Baked Fresh so once it’s gone, it’s gone

Wow, what a bakery!! We visited just before we got on the Red Jet back to the mainland. I'm so glad we stopped. The food is outstanding! We got a freshly made chicken, avocado, and spicy mango chutney sandwich. It was absolutely delicious. So fresh and a good amount of filling. I wished we had bought two as my husband and I shared. The bread is out of this world. It's all made in-house. We also got a maple pecan plait and cardamom plait. Both outstanding!

A complete gem in Cowes. The bread is amazing (and freezes really well) the cakes, especially the Fiandes are to die for and if you you are lucky enough to to bag a roll, sandwich or sausage roll, you will definitely NOT be disappointed (or hungry afterwards), Coffee and drinks are also available. I buy a couple of loaves, slice them and freeze. The bread, once defrosted tastes as good as the day it was bought. The business is run by super friendly and helpful people and the atmosphere is lovely. Try it out, you won't regret it!!!

Wow, what an incredible little bakery, the produce was so good I went straight back to buy more!
The savory morning bun was delicious, the sausage roll is one of the best I've ever had, the pastry was on another level.
Their breads look great too.
Only about a minutes walk from the red jet terminal, stock up before heading back to the mainland.

Nothing disappoints from this bakery. Love the sourdough loaves and the maple pecan cinnamon buns. A particular treat this Easter was the hot cross loaf filled with marzipan. Like a sourdough and a hot cross bun had a glorious affair!

Lovely bakery in the centre of Cowes. There is no better place to get a real, tasty and quality rye bread if you are on the island. The full range of sweet and savoury pastries is worth a try too. My recent discovery is their coffee - seriously nice flat white, in my opinion the best on the High Street.

Worthy of its fantastic reputation, Lost Mill Bakery doesn't disappoint - I have tried the rolls, cakes and pastries and a filled sandwich. Go for any and all of the above, but I strongly recommend that if you see the Reuben sandwich available, you go for that - the best I've had outside of New York!

This is a morning delight. Excellent coffee to sip while you watch the bakers at work and savour the smell of fresh baked bread. A healthy dose of nostalgia which leaves you wanting more, and a sense of what we have lost to corporate blandness.
