I've visited Gin & Juice bar before but decided to book a solo night at the hotel for my birthday. From check-in to check-out my stay was wonderful. I had a cosy room no 35, it's beautifully styled and I meant to ask reception where your pillows are from but forgot, as there the comfiest I've had in a hotel. It did have a spiral staircase down to the bathroom, for me wasn't an issue but be aware if booking this room as its not for the faint hearted, that being said the bathroom was fabulous. But the highlight for me was dinner in the Terrace. Food was delicious but the service was outstanding, I had a complementary glass of fizz and a surprise birthday dessert plate. Your staff through the couple of days were amazing and made me feel very comfortable being there alone

This hotel is very nice! The staff and service are great! They have two wonderful restaurants and a gin bar on property which are very fun and stylish. The location was also prime - I felt very safe here.||I ranked it 4/5, only because I wish there was a lift as the stairwells are quite narrow and it was difficult for us girls to being our luggage upstairs. However, this is to be expected with a charming older hotel.

We booked 4 rooms for a family celebration at this hotel. The place looks great from the outside and the Japanese bar is also nice. The issue is that the rooms are just not good enough. We had one good one out of 4. Our other rooms were in attics with the bathrooms upstairs and a tiny bedroom space. In fact the room was so small that we couldn’t open an ironing board to press our clothes and there was nowhere to put the cases out of the way. When we asked for an alternative room, we were TOLD in no uncertain terms that it was not possible. Our room was too hot and we had to open the window at night but then couldn’t sleep as the outdoor bar was below with loud music. We just could not recommend it for a comfortable stay. A couple of nice touches, like robe and slippers but the room quality was frankly poor. Breakfast was interesting and nice but was not included in our tariff. It feels like every inch of the indoor and outdoor space has been monetised and very little thought given to customer service or comfort.

Beautiful hotel, very fresh and comfortable. Good location. Only issue is there is no lift so if you have come with a lot of bags it’s a bit of a challenge to get up and down the stairs.

Quirky and luxe place to stay.|We stayed for my friend’s special birthday and had room 10, it was beautiful. The only draw back was it was hot and up several flights of stairs. The decor is gorgeous and the standard is high. We had drinks in Gin and Juice which is great. Cool Dj. Would definitely return.

Beautiful rooms, great location but the worst noise I’ve ever experienced.

The awful music they play downstairs bellows into the room with the lyrics not audible but bass physically shaking the room. This plays from 6pm-11pm for which is indicated somewhere in the small print reception will remind you.

But when the music stops at 11 everyone stays for a chat and fight in our case resulting in broken bottles and glasses heard from the room 1-2am.

Staff are clearly aware of how awful the rooms and noise are that they don’t even ask how your stay was when you check out.

Do not stay here if you want to rest/sleep/hear your own thoughts

Well, the contentious marquees were lovely and warm (30/11); planning permission / listed building? Aside from that service was good, prompt and efficient. Drinks prices are on the high side! It’s a great spot, on the Prom. Food is always good; quality and plentiful.
