All I can say on behalf of the 28 Ladies who attended the lunch is “Simply Fantastic”. From the office Team to the catering/bar Staff in the Restaurant, they were all absolutely brilliant and there was nothing too much trouble for them. Every single Lady in our Group commented on how lovely the food was and that they couldn’t wait to plan their next visit. So “Thank You Top Meadow” and see you soon!

Drugs (viagra) found on the floor by a baby - no exaggeration. Attended this venue for a Christening 2 days ago, in the function suite, we arrived to a cold, empty room with none of the table decorations set up despite having been agreed. As you can imagine following a christening there were a lot of babies and young children in attendance. It was one of these crawling babies that found the viagra pill on the floor shortly after we arrived. Photo attached. Thank everything that is holy that I was watching these kids like a hawk and noticed the flash of bright blue so was able to wrestle the pill from the baby's hand a split second before it went into his mouth. What distresses me in addition to this near fatal accident is that the venue provided no apology and accepted no responsibility for their failure to adequately clean the floor between events. There were other items on the floor, lumps of roast potato for example which were also rescued from babies mouth, scary but much less dangerous. There were numerous other failings that I'll summarise but the Viagra was obviously the big ticket item. Staff did not know the code to the downstairs disabled toilet/baby change meaning walking up 2 flight of stairs through an abandoned function room elsewhere instead. Buffet food was cleared away and disposed of (I asked for it back), 1-2hrs before the end of the event, inc all the children's cold sandwiches. And to top it off the WiFi wasn't working and people weren't being told by the bar staff so they had to rush around begging cash from other guests or spend half hr at the bar trying to get a card payment to go through. Horrified overall by the multiple mistakes and the lack of customer service in apologising or accepting any liability, will certainly never be visiting again as it is not safe.

Family get together for couple celebrations. |Sunday lunch we always find very good value, and enjoyed by all 10 of us. Empty plates all round!|It is noisy when it is full, but it’s better than being so empty you feel everyone is listening in on your conversation!|And it’s lovely to see so many people getting together for various celebrations.|The staff are all so lovely and polite, a real credit to the venue.

I had heard very good reports about this place. First impression was that it wasn't as posh as I'd assumed, however it was a clean, pleasant space. The welcome was not all that good. No one really smiled or said " won't be a minute". We asked for the lunch menu ( we hadn't booked). There was a large perspex menu on the bar ( apparently the only one), but my sister couldn't stand long, so we had to take this to our table. We were then given other menus seemingly a la carte, but these had mostly the same items ( except for breakfast). When we decided to go for mains from the a la carte menu, we were moved to the very next table. The only difference being cloth serviettes. V strange and unnecessary. Anyway, the manager? Came over and offered us a drink as they'd had a power cut. We hadn't really waited but found that acceptable. The food was really good and reasonably priced. Weirdly, the staff became more attentive as the place filled up. So, all in all, it turned out well, just a bit disjointed.

Great value for money. Not the ritz but worth every penny. Stayed here lots of times for work and will keep coming back. Rooms are very average but mostly clean, food is great. All at a great unbeatable price. All|Single beds but that's ok for work.

Bed comfortable but pillows lumpy. En suite too dark to shave. No hairdryer but when phoned reception one was brought to us immediately. Plenty of choice for cooked breakfast but nothing except cereal and supermarket cakes for continental type. Staff all very friendly and polite. We were only there overnight after a function. A pity as with just a little TLC it would be excellent.

Enjoyable and relaxed afternoon tea with a friend here last week. Just the right amount of attention - plenty of tea and coffee - maybe not as many sandwiches as other places but they were tasty and loads of cakes and other sweet things including scones - and, my goodness, was it reasonable compared to other places - it cost less for two of us than it would usually elsewhere for one. Lovely setting but be aware on a nice day car park will be full or if there is another function but shows you it is popular! We were allowed to sit and chat for ages and not rushed at all like some other places - will be going again!

I recently stayed, with 3 friends on a midweek, 1 night golf break. The cost per person was £80 ie £360 in total . This included overnight in 2 twin rooms, 18 holes golf and 3 course evening meals on arrival day, and on departure day we had an English breakfasts and another 18 holes golf. The ensuite rooms were very comfortable, as good as you would expect in any premium hotel, and the evening meal and service was excellent. This golf club is well run by the owners and should be on every golf societies radar as a future venue for a fantastic golf break.
