Never lets me down.. This small Hotel has such a lovely personal touch. Amazing friendly and helpful staff, always willing to help and always concerned about their guest’s comfort. Rooms spotlessly clean, high water pressure showers, room facilities always topped up, free parking, good WiFi connection… Couldn’t ask for more!

The reality of our stay does not compare with all the pictures online. There are no photos of the room that we were given. Our superior double room was up narrow stairs on the second floor. Very difficult to climb when you have luggage. Upon entering you cannot be prepared for the neglect of the room and facilities. Everything looked old and dated. Walls were badly scuffed and marked. Wardrobe only big enough for 4 hangers. En suit through two half doors that bashed against the tiles every time you opened them must have woken guests in neighbouring rooms. The bath panel had flaking paint. There was no shower over the bath as there wasn’t room to hang shower attachment due to sloping ceiling. Enamel on bath was chipped and worn. I have never stayed in a hotel that didn’t attend to the room daily. Although we were asked if we wanted fresh towels the bed was not made. On the first morning we were the only ones eating breakfast. That should have been a warning. It arrived and looked exactly like the pictures. Unfortunately the quality of the ingredients was poor and mostly inedible. The staff were lovely and hardworking. They seemed to be doing every job. Reception, cook and cleaner.

Chose this hotel due to location for train station into London and off the motorway|Good service as soon as I booked with a call to ask if I wanted twin or double room|Hotel itself is basic but clean with good two. Beds|Shower was clean and powerful and towels soft and fresh |Has a car park at the rear which is accessed through a narrow arch which may be an issue but it was free!|Lady on reception was lovely and helpful too|Hotel is on a main road so was noisy and walls are thin so you can hear people going in and out |Didn’t stay for breakfast but the bacon smelt good

I don’t know where to begin! |Dirty bath, no log in for tv, no plug for bath, nothing to hang shower head on so stood holding. Open shower gel and nothing else. Toilet seat had literally eroded away. Bar shut, left outside by cleaner for 10 mins upon arrival. Constant sirens going past. Walls thinner than my patience for the place. |Shower curtain used to be white I think? |No bath mat, 1 pillow but it was large and solid. Used my jumper instead. |This venue is a hostel at best. Lucky I’m here on my own as I would not have accepted this for anyone in my family.

Great independent hotel, no purpose built chain premises. It's 3 mile from M25 , has free parking, 5 min walk to Gidea Pk tube. Opposite a fine micro pub and 2 Indian restaurants , with popular traditional pub almost next door. Very reasonable prices and sort of place we should support and help survive.

We stayed here recently whilst visiting family nearby. The rooms were lovely, clean & comfortable, with a lovely modern bathroom. The breakfast was really lovely and couldn't really be faulted. We are happy to revisit & to recommend to others.

Friendly greeting from receptionist upon arrival. The room was great, better than expected. Very clean and had everything needed. Large tv, good bathroom, comfortable bed|Couldn’t fault it. Don’t be put off by the outside. I would certainly recommend based on my room

The location was very convenient for a family visit in romford. The check-in was swift with friendly staff.||The bathroom was new and very clean as was the bedroom. However the heating in the bedroom was not functioning properly so it was cold night(!)
