We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay at Rookery Nook - the hosts Chris and Jill were so lovely and welcoming. The room and facilities were immaculate and the breakfast was excellent. It is with a heavy heart that I need to let you into a secret: Running the risk that I will add to the hyper around the Rookery Nook in Shere, I can confirm that it is the most wonderful B&B in Surrey. It is the perfect place to stay if you are after a few days away from London. Chris and Jillian are the most delightful hosts. We will definitely be back!

Rookery Nook has made a lasting impression on us both, as has the village and surrounding areas. |Chris and Jillian’s home is one of a kind and reflects their warm personalities. There is a sense of individuality about the b&b, with some real attention to the finer details. |Breakfast on both mornings was to a high standard and again the attention paid to the smaller details was really noted and appreciated. ||This is different to most b&b’s, with your own bedroom, lounge and bathroom area as part of the wider house. |We stayed for two nights, there is so much to explore with a strong community sense to the village. Pack your comfy shoes- Chris and Jillian can share various walking routes with you; with a great pub at the end! |Thanks to you both, your hospitality is appreciated.

Rookery Nook is situated in the most charming of locations, with the most charming of hosts. Chris and Jillie could not do enough for us. Our room was cosy and comfortable. We slept really well and thoroughly enjoyed the use of our own TV room that overlooks a stunning English garden. We had fresh fruit salad, followed by a delicious cooked breakfast that fully set us up for a day of hiking. I honestly can’t think of anything that would have made our long weekend any better. Another delight is not having to use the car after you initially rock up. There is so much to do within walking distance of Rookery Nook that you just don’t need it. We were very sad to have to come home.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Rookery Nook for a long weekend and everything about it was delightful! They only have one set of guests staying at a time, making it extra special. Chris and Jillie are the loveliest people and wonderful hosts. You can really sense how much they want you to enjoy your stay and just relax! It made it very difficult to leave!! Their cottage is beautiful and very cosy, in the best location! The bedroom is spacious with a very comfortable bed and overlooks the square. There was always fresh milk left outside our room in the morning for a cup of tea or coffee. The bedroom is next to a bathroom and private lounge for guests. The breakfast in their dining room was fantastic. Fresh fruit salad and yoghurt, followed by a delicious cooked breakfast, all served with a big pot of tea and juice! Shere is a dream and completely charming. Everything about this stay was perfect, and we can't thank Chris and Jillie enough for opening up their home to allow guests to experience this beautiful part of the country!

Rookery Nook is a wonderful B and B in the beautiful iconic old English village of Shere. Jill and Chris made us feel so at home.Not only did we have a bedroom and a bathroom but also our own lounge room with a tv so we could relax after a day out and about. They gave us information on walks around the village and the surrounding villages and so we happily filled in 6 days there. In fact it would have been great to be able to stay longer.

We found Chris and Jillie's b&b after searching for places to stay in Shere, somewhere we were keen to return to after visiting for the day the year before. We couldn't believe the location, right in the square, in the middle of the village. We'd have been happy to have a clean and simple room to sleep in at the end of the day, but instead we got boutique luxury, with incredible hospitality. Jillie & Chris' home is just as picture-perfect as the village in which it's located, offering the comfiest bed, in a beautiful room with unbelievable views - with anything and everything you need available; you need only ask. The breakfast each morning was fantastic, and despite being surrounded by plenty of cafes and restaurants, we opted to have our breakfast at the b&b instead. They recommended brilliant walks, restaurants and pubs - and we recommend you take all of their advice on board, as it really made our weekend. We can't wait to book to stay again!
