We stayed in a double en-suite room for 4 nights. It was an excellent room with everything you could need, including a microwave and toaster and crockery for simple self catering. We had the breakfast, which again was excellent. There is no bacon or sausages, but we were more than happy with the eggs on offer, plus great fresh fruit salad and the usual toast & cereals etc. It took us about 15 minutes to walk into the centre of Guildford, but about 20 minutes to walk back as there is a steep hill. There was a great view over Guildford from our back room.||Roxane is a brilliant hostess who goes out of her way to be helpful and made our stay memorable. She is also happy to let guests use her lovely garden.

I had an outstanding stay at the Plaegan House. For the first time, I felt fully at home in an B&B. The house decoration is amazing, the room is really well thought (mini fridge, microwave, glasses, plates, ... all you need, and there is even a room service 3x a week), and you have a view on the garden with some squirrels. Roxane was the most wonderful host (she showed me what to visit in Guildford, took time to have a little chat, show me facilities in the house, and she was even helping me with laundry and hanging my clothes!) I would highly recommend, and I am looking forward to have the opportunity to come back!

This was our second visit to Plaegan House B&B. Our hostess was as welcoming and wonderful as our last visit. And she was very helpful with planning our days. This B&B is quiet, on a nice residential street, clean as a whistle, has a beautiful garden in the back, and serves excellent breakfasts. I particularly enjoyed the coddled eggs. And the decor was excellent with her numerous travel trophies! We can't imagine staying anywhere else.

We stayed for 2 weeks in May, and really enjoyed the accommodations, which were very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts, especially the coddled eggs, were a real treat. The owner/manager was a very interesting, helpful, and friendly hostess. The house was full of fascinating artifacts from her trips abroad, all of which have a story attached. The gardens were spectacular. If we get back to England we will surely stay there.

We visited this b&b in nov2015 and stayed 4 days with our 5 years old child. It`s a typical English building, very clean and well kept by Mrs Philips, the madame who manages the house. She is very kind and gave us lots of helpful touristic hints, she always left us fresh milk and butter cookies. It`s also available English breakfast. The room was wide and very clean (also for italian standards), the bathroom has a bidet, that is not so frequent in UK and it was full of frogs in miniature and painted frogs, very cute! The place is on a hill with a panoramic view, in a quiet part of the town, the centre is very near also by feet. We will come back for sure and we suggest this place to anyone is looking for a good place to stay in Guildford.

We stayed at the Plaegan House B&B for about a week in the room overlooking the garden in the back which is lovely (see photo of garden from the room). There is a table and chairs and very comfortable chaise lounges to relax in in the garden, if weather permits. Beyond the garden is a green, where children play soccer and other games during the day. So, you are not looking into someone else's windows, and they are not looking into yours. ||||The room was good size, with very large windows (see photo of the back of the house) and a table and 2 chairs. There is a frig in the room large enough to hold a bottle of wine and/or cans of beer. There are also plates, silverware and placemats, a microwave and a hot water heater. The bathroom was also a good size, but with a sloped ceiling on one side, but not in the way of the sink, shower or toilet. Water in the shower was hot, with good pressure. The beds were comfortable, but short, which was not an issue for us. Roxane, the owner and hostess, advised she had longer beds on order that would be there soon. There is a second room which faces the front of the house, so it doesn't have the garden view.||||There is a lending library, in case you forgot to bring a book.||||We had continental type breakfast most mornings we were there, with warm croissants, several different types of cheese, OJ, yogurt, fruit (the raspberries were freshly picked from the garden) and coffee. We didn't have any eggs. A large selection of cereals is also available, which we had a couple of mornings, and fresh milk. Usually, there is fresh milk in the frig, but we had Roxane take it out because we don't drink much milk, even with cereal. So, we helped ourselves to the milk in the frig in the kitchen the mornings we had cereal.||||There are two cats who also live at the House, but they stay downstairs, and are not at all intrusive. We invited them to come up and visit us in our room one afternoon, but they did not stay long. There are also 4 young adult boarders who live there. They are very quiet, and one of the young men carried our two heavy bags up to our room when we checked in and again when we left. ||||Roxane is most gracious and accommodating, even offering to include our laundry in with our sheets when she changed them halfway through our stay. There is a small "drying room" which we needed several times during our stay because of the rain. ||||The House is about a 15 minute walk to the bottom of High Street in Guildford. The walk is mostly downhill, although there is an uphill portion, and a pretty steep final descent. We did not walk back to the House from town because it would be mostly uphill. Uber drivers are plentiful and a good alternative if you didn't drive to the House, and we never had to wait too long for one to come.||||If we are ever in Guildford again, we will certainly stay here! We hope you do too!

We had a great stay at this wonderful B&B. The host was very helpful and friendly. The room was large with a lovely view over the garden. The bed was also large and comfortable. The bathroom was similarly large and well set up. The WiFi worked well. |Highly recommended as a place to stay if you are in the area.

We have been coming to stay with Roxane at Plaegan house for over ten years on a regular basis and always recommend it to Friends and family coming over for London trips. Roxane is wonderfully welcoming and always helpful. Breakfast is a dream and its really like having a home away from home with the cats and adorable decorations.
