We had amazing staff , staff welcoming, Ryan the owner was such a awesome chap. His staff were all very friendly, thank u to Hayley for fantastic breakfast serve and John hope u go far with the team . All round great hospitality. Food was brilliant and stay was to bring some back and again .

Lovely cosy shabby chic rooms, really well presented. Linen was crisp and fresh. Clean and tidy. The staff were lovely and accommodating. I placed my breakfast order the night before (verbally) and it was there when I came down in the morning. |This is a pub with an outside area with people chatting and music in the background but you are forewarned on the website. In all honesty I didn’t notice any loud noise. If I stay in sleaford, this is the place I choose above all others, good value for money, staff are great.

Me and the wife stayed here as a stop off on our way to a wedding the following day. We arrived and promptly shown to our room which was a decent size. Bed was very comfortable with tv, tea coffee etc. We went to the restaurant and have fresh home baked pizzas which were incredible and then headed into the courtyard to have a few more drinks. Corona on draft was a lovely suprise!!! Bar was wuite lively which was expected on a friday evening but was quiet after 11. Breakfast was delicious and staff could not do any more to help. Great little gem and would definitely return.

Have just returned from a weekend stay at the Watergate Yard and am moved to write a review immediately! (Something which I never do). From the minute we arrived to our departure, the staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more accommodating. We were in Sleaford for a family get together elsewhere. Our family group had two rooms and both were comfortable, with all amenities, plus some great design features! The outside courtyard was a splendidly relaxed and a fun place to be, and we even curtailed our planned activity to return to enjoy longer there. The table service was second to none, with the most engaging and friendly staff always ready to take a drinks order. The breakfast was perfect, sizeable and served quickly. We are already planning a return!

The room was very nice, with fun quirky items of furniture, it had a well stocked tea, coffee, biscuit basket. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot and invigorating. Our son had is 50th birthday party which was held in the barn just across the courtyard which is a lovely venue, the music and hot buffet were both excellent. In the morning breakfast choice was good and the food was served piping hot and tasted delicious, cooked and served beautifully by Hayley.

What can I say.

The staff are lovely and the service is second to none as I'm on crutches and they have helped me out loads this past week.

Great rooms and love some of the random art work and modern art improvisations.

Outside a huge beer garden with live music that comes alive when it goes dark and is lit up.

Lovely owners and I recomend this to any one staying in Sleaford.

Breakfast ... never madd it down once yet as i'm always to comfortable in the beds.

Watergate is a family run business who are passionate about making this a home away from home, and everyone who works there was chatty, friendly and helpful.

The rooms have an upcycled decor, so are individual and quirky. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms were spotlessly clean.

The rooms are above the bar, so there is a bit of noise in the evening, we stayed mid week and it was quiet by 10-10.30. There is live music most weekends, so I suspect it can be loud then.

The parking is a short walk away, and because it is an old building with a lot of character, the stairs are narrow and steep, there are a few low ceilings, and some of the floors are a bit uneven.

This was a great place for me and mum to have a short break, and we loved it, and will be going back.

Interesting and quirky family owned pub. Lovely people, very friendly. The "Small Plates" menu was unusual and excellent. If you want laid back then a midweek stay is ideal. Probably livelier and more suited to a younger demographic at the weekends. Wide variety of alcoholic drinks ( not just gin) and the Xmas cocktails were to die for.
