We had afternoon tea bought for us as a gift.We have had afternoon tea before at Fishmore but about 12 yrs ago. This latest experience was not as good.Sandwiches were okay not special. The scones were delicious but no homemade jam or preserve just a generic jar.No butter supplied with scones. The quiche was taste less and overcooked. In a sweet pastry case! The tea selection was excellent but no extra hot water provided or offered to replenish tea pot.And paper napkins! Would have preferred linen which were on the tables laid for dinner.Staff young but cheerful and attentive.

We were given the gift of afternoon tea at Fishmore Hall by our daughter and Son in law, booked for Sunday 29th December. And what a memorable gift it turned out to be. From the moment we entered the hotel, we were made to feel special. The staff were warm and welcoming, meaning we were put at ease straight away, feeling comfortable and relaxed, ready to enjoy the experience. Yes, there was another group of people in the restaurant, but no matter, we were placed far enough away to feel we were in our very own 'bubble'. And the food, the food was of good quality, fresh and plentiful. This included the vegetarian option. The variety of fresh sandwiches are worth a mention here, followed on by a selection of sweet and savoury items. Let's just say we left the hotel feeling stuffed. All four of us commented on what great value it had been, a truly superb experience. Can't wait to tell people about the place and do it all again.

I had a wonderful relaxing afternoon. Rhiannon did the most amazing full body massage which left me throughly feeling relaxed, it was great. The afternoon tea was absolutely delicious, I enjoyed every bite. The only negative comment I can make is that the steam room had no water and the drinking water ran out in the spa, there was also no glasses. I can’t wait to come back again.

It was the best Spa experience we have anywhere else. We had a lovely relaxing time. The greeting we received from staff on arrival was friendly and we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. The massages were so perfect, tailor made to our requests. The treatment we had booked was Dip & Dine. The meal was exquisite. I will definitely book again. And have already recommended our experiences to others.

Our first visit here and we had a fantastic time. A lovely location and great stay for a visit into Ludlow. The taster meal last night was a real delight and the full English breakfast was very tasty. We had good service from the lovely staff. We were a little concerned from recent reviews that we had read. It seems the staff are going through a turnaround, we had some trouble phoning reception before arriving. Based on our experience we would definitely come back.

My daughter booked this for a treat for me. We had the ground floor annexe which was lovely. I was very impressed that it was very accessible. Hotels mostly think only of wheelchair users, but having a visual impairment it was great to have a really bright room. Accessible mirrors - a scissor type in the beautiful bathroom. Dinner was lovely but the food was let down by a pretty poor breakfast. The staff certainly need a lot of training, although they were all smiling and welcoming. It's very basic to know that if you order a cheeseboard you don't eat it with a spoon! The spoon was removed and replaced by a fork.... we did eventually get a knife. Long wait for breakfast with poached eggs half raw. Such a shame, a wasted opportunity to have something really great.

My new husband and I visited on our Mini-moon straight from our Wedding.
It was a wonderful stay! We booked the mini-moon package and it was just what we needed!
On the lead up to our visit communication was wonderful.
The room we stayed in was beautiful and very clean, it had all the facilities we needed and more!
The 6 course tasting menu was delicious and the staff very attentive. Wine pairings were really good too!
The spa was wonderful. The ladies were really helpful and we felt fully pampered. Facilities were great.
Our a la carte meal was also spectacular! The next day we had a wander around Ludlow castle and returned for afternoon tea. We really didn’t want to leave.
Thank you all for making our stay so memorable and spoiling us rotten!

Really good sized clean rooms, with tea and coffee, mini bar, biscuits etc. Good sized en suite with shower. Nice large clean beds. The bar does everything you are would expect and cocktails. We had afternoon tea which was excellent and fresh. As was the breakfast in the morning. The location is good, in the countryside or a 20 min walk to the town. I cannot believe this is officially 3 star, I am well travelled and this is most definitely at least a 4. Staff all very helpful and polite. Nice stay, thank you.
