We stayed at the Crown Country Inn at Munslow for two nights, it was a Dad and Daughter weekend, and I must say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice sofa, which you don't often get, decent lighting, again not common, so when we spent a bit of day-time in the room (it was quite cold out!) it was very nice. The breakfasts where AMAZING so fresh, a good portion size, lots of tea, and lovely yoghurt and fruit, a great start to the day!

We had dinner both nights at the hotel, given the weather (this was the storm weekend) it made sense, and the food and drink, service and ambiance was great.

I would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone looking for a typical, well run British Inn, it was just fab!

The Crown was very handy for our country cottage. They were more than happy to cater for our group of 10. The food was very good and service too. A very enjoyable meal.

We've just had the most delicious Sunday lunch here. Everything was beautifully presented. Meat well cooked. Proper crunchy roast potatoes. Hand cut fresh veg. Proper gravy...not out of a packet. This place is a gem that you could easily just drive past. Don't! Stop. Eat food thats made with love. 😎👌

Really good food in lovely surroundings. And wonderful helpful staff. Will definitely be coming back asap. Slightly out of the way location but well worth the trip and quiet country roads to get there.

Superb! Amazing! Consistently Fabulous!

We have stayed at The Crown many times over the years and can honestly say that it just gets better.
The Inn is an old building with lots of original and quirky features, which only add to its character and charm. The giant open fire is so welcoming, keeping the bar and dining area warm and cosy.
The bedrooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable with everything you need. Richard’s delicious homemade biscuits are an extra treat to enjoy before heading down for dinner later.
The jewel in The Crown has to be Richard’s fantastic food. His passion for food is evident in the dishes he creates. He is constantly experimenting, and we have been lucky enough to enjoy the results - fresh breads, jams, marmalade, chutneys, sausages, black pudding, burgers pizzas……… there is more but you’ll have to go and sample it for yourself!
Jane and the friendly front of house team are constantly on hand to help - nothing is too much trouble - if they can do it they will. This time we enjoyed a wonderful beef pie full of melt in the mouth chunks of beef encased in perfectly cooked pastry, also the slow cooked pork belly with the best crunchy crackling. But our favourite dish was the panettone tiramisu which was so good we had it on both nights!
If you enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of a country pub coupled with quality food, perfectly cooked, then a visit to The Crown is a must.

After our daughter noticed a recommend on our local FB page we booked lunch for the three of us as part of a birthday celebration. Delicious chicken and chorizo risotto, mounds of perfectly cooked vegetables including crispy roast potatoes and perfectly cooked cauliflower cheese. We just about had room for a creamy panacotta, with a delicious berry coulis and ice cream. There’s a lovely garden outside to enjoy while the weather is still good. Really lovely owners and staff - definitely worth a visit.
