Beautifully decorated for Christmas, large menu to choose from. Food was nice and fresh and reasonably priced. Cakes and ice cream look amazing. Staff vey helpful and polite. Large free car park. Our second visit from Brighton. Will visit soon again.

The food flavours were good however the food itself was very cold! Didn't complain even though we probably should have said something. We had the kids eat free deal which was a good deal. So a little disappointed but hasn't put us off. Will visit again but speak up next time if the same, as never had that happen in the past. Bit surprised peas were not part of the veg option on the carvery, my daughter only eats peas so had no veg at all! It was very busy but seemed understaffed so tables took quite some time to be cleared in all areas. My review is only based on this particular visit as previous visits have been fine.

Good to average local place to fill your boots. Average food quality but very good prices. Carvery beef and gammon are perfect!!! Sides quality look below average. Ice cream was really good, recommend. Family friendly place with the family area and a tiny soft play area for kids. Outdoor places. Cleanliness outside could be also a little bit better. Good parking spaces.

Lovely pub with great food. Carvery was impressive and good value for money. Food was amazing! Large selection of drinks available.
Staff were super helpful and found us a seat despite not booking on a Sunday. Would advise to book this place as there were no tables past 1pm

Food Review: A Disappointing Start to the Day

I stopped off at the Farmhouse Inn Hayling or what I hoped would be a good breakfast to kickstart a busy Sunday at work, but unfortunately, my visit fell short of expectations.

Arriving early, the place wasn’t busy—I was the second customer served. However, the experience started on the wrong foot with a poor attitude from the male staff member who served me, someone I believe to be the manager. His demeanor was less than welcoming and certainly not what you’d expect in hospitality. While I didn’t address it at the time, it left a sour taste before I even reached the buffet.

The Farmhouse Inn has always been a lovely venue, but it’s a reminder that staff make or break an experience. A great location is only as good as the people running it, and this encounter spoiled the atmosphere.

Moving on to the food, I opted for the buffet breakfast. Unfortunately, it didn’t redeem the visit. Despite being fresh from the kitchen, the food wasn’t particularly hot. The bacon, folded over to save space in the oven, was undercooked and of mediocre quality—I left it on my plate. The sausages, pale and unappealing, were also disappointing, both in appearance and taste.

While the breakfast is reasonably priced at £7.49, I would have gladly paid more for better quality food and service. In hindsight, I wish I’d waited and visited The Barley Mow instead.

In summary, this was a letdown in both service and food quality. It’s a shame, as the Farmhouse Inn has potential, but today’s experience left me disappointed and unlikely to return anytime soon.

Family meal at the Langbrook this week with our part choosing carvery, lasagne, scampi and pizza. Food was pretty good with the carvery being the standout. Good value for the meals and decent service.

First time going to Farmhouse Inn. It was really busy. Staff were very friendly. We were so lucky to get seated at huge table.
Food was great. Except the broccolis and cauliflowers were a bit too soggy. I think they were frozen ones.
It was only 6.99 for a small plate roast. So I can't complain. Would definitely go there again!

We booked a table for breakfast during the weekend, buffet breakfast was until 11am, my wife asked for avocado witch poached egg on top. All was priced well. There is pliantly of room within this venue.
