Lovely host and lovely homely b&b||Jean was super accommodating when arranging our booking. We booked 2 rooms for a family wedding which we knew would be a tight squeeze but jean was happy to do as much as she could to make this happen. ||Jean informed us that she was away on holiday during our stay but she had everything ready to go including extra pop up beds for the kids and an iron that I had enquired about. ||Very sweet and attention to detail spot on.||We couldn’t ask any more tbh.||||The rooms and decor are a little dated but there is a welcoming and endearing quality to the place.||||Overall very happy with our experience. ||Thanks you

Recommended by a local friend as a stopover to meet for a curry and great beer. Curry and beer were delivered in style and the B&B was super. Spotless comfy room, warm and friendly welcome and a top notch breakfast. I am putting JEAN's contact details because you really should try it, and is saves you looking further!||We paid £60 for two and this included the brilliant breakfast with all the trimmings including fresh fruit and a full English. excellent. My Mrs booked the B&B as I needed somewhere to stop quickly.||She got a 'Brucie Bonus' the landlady tried to contact me as I was training I couldn't answer she went out of her way to make sure I could get into the property as she was unable to greet me personally.||Bedroom was a single on the ground floor was chilly but toasty when the radiators came on (Wish I could have had a booster facility on the heating in a morning also).||Its right next door to a Real Ale pub The Robin Hood cobs and beer perfect night out. Lol||Free continental breakfast was an unexpected bonus Thanks Jean i'll be stopping again when I'm in the area

The Garden Apartment, stourbridge 200 Collis Street, Stourbridge@ Rawsons Retreat ||||Property is not as advertised. No heating that currently works, property has extreme noise from the public house next door which is open till 2am. Property manager away in Tenerife. Complained of the lack of heating and cleanliness of property. Jean who runs didn’t want to discuss the issues experienced? Replied to tell me there is a two night minimum stay ! I would advise anyone to look for alternative arrangements as the property is not fit to be occupied by the general public unless a regular cleaner is employed, the crockery and bed linen are replaced and the heating is working. ||Jean I hope the £104 keeps you warm at night as I’ve slept in better hostels in Amsterdam! Disgusting customer service and disgusting reply from Jean. Your running a hotel it’s not up to you to decide weather I should receive a refund just because I’ve booked for two nights, I was unable to stay a 2nd night due to the problems, to then lie and deceive both air b & b, booking.com and PayPal to keep the full amount when the property was not fit to be occupied Is laughable! Avoid at all costs !

I stayed here for initially a 3 month stay, then my contract was renewed and I stayed on for another 6 months. I found it exceptionally good value and Jean goes out of her way to make sure you have everything you need. The wifi is excellent and they helps when wanting to keep in touch with family back home. I would definately stay with Jean again should the need arise.

Excellent value. I have stayed here twice. Jean is always welcoming and all is in order and the food good. £40.00 for a single room. You can't beat it in Stourbridge and the surrounding area. I shall certainly stay here again.

Warm welcome, great facilities, wonderful atmosphere. Jean made us really welcome. Hardly surprising when you realise that Rawson's Retreat is right next to Robin Hood Pub and down the street from the Starving Rascal Pub. How good is that!! Thoroughly recommend it.

The guest house is clean & has all \ person may want ie a Kettle & a range sachets ||||The breakfast is self service continental & has all you could want ||||A full English is also available for an additional coast ||||Great value & an oasis in a dessert
