Booked a table, arrived sat in the middle of the pub. It was cold where we sat but were not one to complain.

Where we sat there was food stains on the wall. Ordered a mixed grill was great value and a great meal I must say. Chips were nice but a few hard ones and never received the black pudding as advertised on the menu. Never the less will be visiting again as I’ve said the food was great and great value!

We absolutely love it at The New Wellington, the carvery is amazing and always cooked to perfection plus really good value. We have visited quite a few times now since moving to the area and always get a friendly welcome and top service. We 100% recommend to all and will be back soon, many thanks.👍👍

The room and en suite were spotless. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Came down for the daily carvery and had a small problem with the very rude and unhelpful carver. The manageress sorted it instantly and gave us a full food refund. The carvery is served daily and has the best selection of beautifully cooked food I've ever seen. We mentioned how hot our room was and were given a fan which really helped. Enjoyed a few drinks and live entertainment in the bar. The buffet breakfast was superb with unlimited tea, coffee and juice. Big mugs for the hot drinks and orange juice served by the pint! The staff were wonderful. I only wish the location was prettier but we didn't pay 5 star prices.

We had just moved into our new house. No furniture, no trays, no food, but found this place was still delivering during the first week of Covid-19. That made moving into a new house so less stressful with being able to provide us with a fantastic veggie and meat Carvery. I wouldn’t believe the size of the portions. Extremely large and the quality and taste of the food was amazing. The meat was beautifully cooked and the vegetables were perfect. Would always recommended. The delivery service was rapid quick to note as well. The price was very reasonable for the size of the portions.

Always yummy food here, great value for money.
With the new table service rules, service is slower than normal, and it is difficult to communicate with the staff in the lively environment with masks on. As a result, out order was wrong twice, which caused confusion when we tried to get out food at the carvery bar. But it was quickly rectified both times.

Lovely place to eat, top notch quality food for very reasonable prices. Great sized carpark with plenty of spaces. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

Wide array of drinks available at the bar too. Absolutely love this place, definitely one of the best carverys I've ever had too!

Went there with family and found it to be very nice with friendly and pleasant staff only one criticism that unlike other food places they used one set of knives for carving all the different meats. But saying that when asked to use a different set of knives they did use a fresh set of knives. Which was very good of them I hope they will continue to use different coloured knives for each of the meats as not all people eat pork. Or want the cross contamination of foods. But because they reacted politely and dealt with our request they deserve a 10/10. Would and will be retuning to this venue again all staff were polite and friendly.and well turned out especially on the way your welcomed on entry. Wonderful food Great service Great Staff.. GO THERE
