Some years since we last stayed in a Travelodge and we are unlikely to do so again. We booked 2 rooms, both had problems. They were sparsely furnished, e.g. the bedside 'shelf aperture' provided was too small to hold a mobile phone. The bedside lamps were poorly placed. We had to constantly access our case at floor level, which is not ideal for those of us of senior years and limited mobility. The desk/dressing table unit was in the darkest corner of the room with no light - impossible to use for make-up. The second room had a very strong smell of urine, which appeared to be from an area of the carpet that had a faintly visible stain. Parking is a good 5 minutes walk away. Free wi-fi is limited to 30 minutes after which it is £3 for 24 hours. Couple of good points: central location, spacious rooms and reasonably comfortable bed. The member of staff who checked us in was pleasant and professional, despite fending off the moans, from both ourselves and others, about the wi-fi charge. The housekeeper who prepared an alternative second room was also helpful. Overall, too may issues (not all outlined above) mean we would not recommend this hotel and definitely not value for money.

Fantastic, polite and very welcoming by Danni at the front desk. Rooms were spotless and fresh, clean. Heater was adjustable and the noise is very quiet after 10pm considering its location. Very happy with our stay. Thank you we will come back again 😊

Stayed here for a week with my daughter whilst working locally. During that time I was helped by three different ladies on reception all of whom were so friendly and helpful. The check in was quick and welcoming and when I lost an expensive bracelet they came to help me look for it. They also gave me help with the local area and locating the train station. We booked a family room which was clean and warm. I thought the soundproofing was good and can’t understand some of the negative reviews on here. The room was excellent value for money and we would definitely stay again.

Stayed for two nights Room ok clean, quiet and tidy. Shower curtain too short so major flood in bathroom- parking a good 5 to 10 minute walk especially when swan walk precinct closed plus lifts in parking out of order meant carrying case up two floors.

Lovely clean modern rooms. Staff are so accomdating and friendly they really made my stay. Couldn't recommend enough. Micheal was so helpful to me and my girlfirend. Dani was on too of the ball and sorted everything out for me before I even needed to ask.

Enormous room, very quiet, comfy bed. Amazing how the Travelodge has a hotel room this good for £32. Very central and not too far away from Gatwick Airport. Friendly staff and an easy check in plus check out. No restaurant but there are plenty of restaurants and bars just feet away. Parking is free from 8pm until 8 am in the car park practically next door.

I wish I could upload the video I took of just how loud the noise was, but I’ve uploaded screenshots of the video taken at 3am. My young family and I were up all night with power drilling going on just outside our room on the street. By 4.30am I was in tears as I’m sleep deprived anyway with a young baby. The next morning the manager was awful, extremely rude and unapologetic. She kept saying it wasn’t their fault so they wouldn’t give a refund even though it’s irrelevant, you’d still apologise if a stay at your hotel was the worst night’s sleep they’ve ever had! Really disgusted to be honest and will be going back to Premier Inn next time.

Absolutely awful, we booked for 2 nights as we had a family funeral to attend so elected to stay as long travel, room was dirty blood on the shower bed base all ripped so much pigeon poop on the windowsill, Absolutely no storage for anything. Breakfast in a to go go box which we paid for but they don't do gluten free, so unable to have and not given a refund. 3am on 1st night lorries beeping cages being moved, someone hoovering at 5am . Mould in the shower, rooms are dark depressive Stay was so bad and depressing we checked out after 1 night despite paying for 2, and no where to park unless you stay in multi storey but your car locked in from 22.00-6.00. My advice avoid avoid more like a hostile than any sort of travel lodge.
