Had my father's 90th birthday in the private dining room. Lee and Hugh were both very helpful while we were preparing for the event and on the day itself. Lee was a great hostess and gave us brilliant advice on all aspects of the day. The food and wine was all wonderful and we couldn't have asked for more from the occasion. Would recommend to anyone and definitely go there again!

Hugh and Lee catered my mother's 80th birthday party at my house. Exquisite beef Wellington and chocolate nemesis. Top quality ingredients, the most tender beef we have ever eaten. Very professional and friendly service, all perfectly timed. Hugh and Lee thought of everything as well as adapting for vegetarian and allergy requirements and took away all the stress for us which meant we could all enjoy the celebrations together. We can't recommend them highly enough and they will always be our first choice for any future events. Overall excellent service and great value for money.

We chose Rankins Catering for our home-based wedding reception. Lee was on hand to advise and guide us every step of the way and Hugh helped us choose the best wines. They easily adapted to changes in the lockdown at very short notice so we could have a fantastic reception. Difficult to decide which dish was our favourite all of them were top quality.

I always go first to Lee and Hugh Rankin for any catering needs - they know exactly what to suggest, they also listen very well to my own suggestions and come up with precisely what will work for different occasions. Their food is delicious and always perfectly timed - Lee is the most tactful, attentive, cheerful and instinctive of hosts and their staff are always excellent. The management of hired equipment always goes well and I have had nothing but compliments from guests who appreciate the elegant little touches as well as the scrummy grub. Highly recommended.

Lee and Hugh were the perfect choice to cater for our wedding.

Since the day, so many of our guests have said how outstanding the quality of the food was. And more than that, they have all commented on how friendly and helpful the staff were. Our friends with dietary requirements said they felt thoroughly looked after - waitresses were always on the lookout for them with canapés. Lee and Hugh prepared a special platter of canapés for us- the bride and groom - so that we didn't miss out due to photos and hellos. I arrived really thirsty after the excitement of the ceremony and Lee immediately went to find me water, which she would only serve to me in a champagne coupe!

Not only did they adapt their menus to everything we asked for, but they very honestly offered advice about what would work best, which we were hugely grateful for, having never organised anything on this scale before. They were also very considerate of our budget and went to great lengths to work with us constructively on keeping costs down.

Lee even helped to source hessian for the tables, which was absolutely not in her remit. She was always going over and above to make our planning as easeful as possible.

Rankins as a team have the gift of offering the highest quality food and the highest quality service, all with a familial personal touch. They care about their clients and for us that made all the difference at what could have been a very stressful time.

Plus the butterfly prawns are to die for!

Dear Hugh & Lee, we so enjoyed every aspect of the our in house party evening with you and thank you and your staff for their attentiveness. The planning was painless, the food exceptional, surroundings perfect and your attention to detail spot on.
