Had an amazing time at The George Hotel.

The staff was incredibly helpful, the premise was clean, and the food was incredible. They also have a nice pub near the reception.

Definitely come back again when I'm around the area

Old historic hotel offering food and a well stocked bar. 12 bedrooms which were clean tidy and has been refurbished with a waterfall shower. Beds comfy. For a night this was perfect. Well located for local activities and main roads.

In the village of Cranbrook. Kent this lovely old Hotel is a delight. Full of Character with its old beams. It combines a bar, restaurant and rooms. The staff were exeptional including Becca who was so helpful as were the other staff. Our room and bathroom were great with everything we needed for our stay. The food in the restaurant was excellent for both dinner and a superb breakfast.

The George Hotel has delivered one of the most exceptional evenings of my life. I turned up, not expecting too much. And that’s when I met him. The blonde barman with the curly hair. I think his name is Ted or something. This man did things I never thought possible. He was kind, attentive, and very funny. He knew the menu off by heart, and by price. He recommended me the perfect beer (Spitfire lager) and linguine. I will definitely be coming back, if anything just to see this man again.

Had a lovely meal tonight at the George hotel, the lady that served us was so attentive and cheerful, even tho she was only covering from deal ,the sharing nachos were excellent and the seafood linguine lovely well done chef, good choice of music too

Our first visit to this hotel so we arrived with open minds.|Hen we enquired how to get to the Car Park mentioned on their Website we were told there were no spaces and the receptionist suggested we park in one of two car parks in the town!|We checked in and were given our room key and told where our room was. Room 6 was quite adequate, however other than on the bed, there were no casual seats to sit on, not even a chair.|We went down into the bar to have a drink and decided to have a Sharing Platter which was very nice.|The thickness of the Duvet made any sleep impossible for the two of us. It was so heavy, this should definitely be changed for a much lighter Summer Duvet. We were also kept awake by a vibrating noise which happened repeatedly every fifteen minutes, thankfully it didn’t last very long but still very irritating!|We both found operating the shower over the bath a real nuisance. It was not straight forward and there were no instructions on how to get water through the shower instead f both in our case!|Overall, whilst staff were very pleasant, the hotel maintenance and cleanliness needed to improve to encourage guests to return.

Good central location. Friendly Cheerful staff who made us feel very welcome. Lovely historical building with plenty of history. Large selection of food and drink, good value for money. Will definitely come back!

An historic hotel/locals pub in a great location.|We were warmly welcomed by the receptionist and given directions to the small carpark. The room was a good size with a step up to the bathroom, a very efficient little towel rail gave off a great heat! Looking out on the shops and the church - but with little road noise.|A good Nespresso machine and kettle plus proper milk available in a little flask from the bar was very nice.|At dinner, the food in the restaurant was excellent, however, at breakfast there was no waitress so we sat at a table and waited, eventually had to go out to the bar and find her. |Small issues reduced the rating, a doorknob was missing from the wardrobe, the end was missing from the light pull over the basin - simple things you expect to be fixed in a "Superior" room and the slow waitress service.
